The videos automatically play through the series. This is amazing that it started as a rusted together piece, and he got it into firing condition.

Definitely a cool project.

Here is his thread on calguns about the project.

redefines "battlefield pick up" a bit, I saw a master class USPSA shoot a match with a 1911 that was burned along with a couple file cabinet and found sifting through the ashes, after replacing all the springs and grips he shot a match with it and won, best part was there were no sights on it.

I believe the gentleman here was Jim Wall . Took second overall in Limited division at the area 1 championships . It used to crack me up when people would ask him to please not shoot the gun with no sights since it was embaressing when they lost to him . Really a remarkable shooter considering how blind he is

Pretty cool.

The history/background of that pistol is the best part.

Looks to me like the gun jammed with a spent case in the chamber, attempted to disassemble/fix it, gave up and ditched it.

Really makes you wonder what circumstances surrounded that pistol finding it's way into the dirt alongside the trail/road back in the day.

That is Jim's gun. Jim and Kelly did that project. That has been a number of years now. I am surprised people still remember that.

I could cite examples of watching Jim shoot IPSC targets with that gun at extended ranges , but pretty much everyone who does not know him would call me a liar, lol.

Jim is a top notch guy and friend.
