Thank you all for coming out and shooting. As always, we had a great time and enjoy seeing everyone. Just a few things to pass along. If you are going to shoot the morning match, you MUST RSVP to Jess. We had 21 shooters signed up and 28 shoot the morning match; we understand that the new guys are not aware of this procedure but if you are aware of it and show up to shoot without RSVPing in the future you will be asked to wait until the noon match begins. Also, when bringing your rifle to the line please bring it up cased and remove it there. This will prevent people being swept and rifle being pointed in unsafe directions; and of course if there are people downrange please wait until they return and we call the line hot to handle your firearms.

A HUGE thank you to those who stayed and RO'ed the afternoon shooters; the help is very much appreciated. Again, thank you all for coming out and we look forward to seeing you next month!

CRC LRPR August 2012 Match Announcement

All,

We will have our monthly CRC LRPR match this Saturday.

1st shoot at 9 am, shooter's meeting at 8:45 am. If you are going to shoot the morning match, you must RSVP with Jess at [email protected]. Last month we had too many people who did not register and the and it went way too long which is not fair to the shooters who show up to the afternoon shoot on time and have to wait. We will take the first 20 shooters for the morning shoot.

2nd shoot at 12 noon, shooter's meeting at 11:45 am. No need to RSVP.

A great big thanks to all of you that put this match together for us . The format is just great , combining both the speed aspect and the precision long range shooting . The execution in running the match was nothing short of super smooth . Never had I seen so many Hot Rod sticks in one place , not to mention that many suppressors at once . Was a great first experience , and will definitely be back for another .

Any of you out here in the Mile High state that are on the fence about doing this , give it a go and you won't be disappointed . A bunch of first rate real shooters , that seemed willing to help anyone if needed .

On a side note , I was wondering the top 308 finishes , as to see how I fared against my fellow big bore brethren . Thanks

Hey Y'all,

It was a great match today. Thanks to everyone for being so friendly and welcoming to my daughter who was shooting her first match ever. Your kindness and encouragements made her want to come back again. Special thanks to RJ and Jess and everyone else helping out. It looks like a lot of work putting these things on, and they are well organized and run smoothly. RJ and Jess also could easily shoot the morning match, but they let others fill in all the spots with the better wind conditions. Hope to see you again in October.

The long range precision rifle match is on for Saturday November 24th. Two matches one at 9:00 and the other at Noon. Please RSVP to [email protected] if you want to shoot the morning match. Weather Underground says clear with a high of 66 and winds less than 5 MPH. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and we'll see you Saturday!!

All, Thank you for the great turn-out and help setting up/tearing down, we wouldn't do it without the help. It's great to see the juniors and more ladies shooting. Remember, juniors are free and we will come up with a family discount. We love to see the families shooting together!

The scores are below. Steve M. put on a clinic. He won both matches, cleaning two stages in the a.m. and one in the p.m. match. I believe 460 ties or is the new high score.

We will no longer allow new shooters who missed the safety briefing to start late. Please be to the match at least 15 minutes before the start time to get your gear ready and attend the safety briefing. Thank you.

We are, regretfully, cancelling the match this Saturday. The whole family has the flu, the low is suppose to be 20, it is a holiday weekend, the world is ending tomorrow, etc, etc.

Thank you all for the support the past two years, time goes quickly.

We'll pick it up again in January, weather permitting.

If the weather holds up, we will be having our match this weekend. If the weather gets bad, I will send out another email late in the week.

Please RSVP for the morning match to my wife at "[email protected]". She will respond if you made the first 24 shooters. No need to RSVP for the afternoon match.


Set-up at 8 am, and we will start the morning match promptly at 9 am. Please be there around 8:30 am and get set-up to shoot, we will no longer allow shooters who missed the safety and procedural briefing to shoot the match. If you are shooting the afternoon match, please show up around 11:30 am and we will have the safety briefing as close to noon as possible.

All, It was a great day. Had the jacket on, off, on, off, on... Lots of new and experienced shooters were in attendance. Chris shot well in the morning and Steve put on the clinic part 2 in the afternoon setting a new record and hitting all six dogs at 550 yards. A special thank you to Jess for spotting all day and not even getting to shoot. See you all in February!

Is it at all possible to have some shooters sight in before the match? Would that be allowed at this range (not sure if we could do it on the Shillouette range...?)

Again thanks to Quickdraw40 and the team. I think this is probably the best introductory match into Long Range shooting around these parts... fun time had by all. Cant wait to see the scores!

I am surprised to see my name at the top of the am session. I was having a time with all the wind but so was everyone I guess. I will take it!
PS I am now looking for sponsors. I have 1 top place finish under my belt. LOL.
 
Ouch, my pride! That was the worst wind I've dealt with, and at my first match non the less. Let's see, what other excuses can I cry about?

I am for sure, only problem is that the next one is the cup! I had a great time though, and learned a lot in all realms of shooting (mostly my shooting!) and that's what counts. If it's not fun, I'm done doing it!
