Mine should be getting close to being approved, or so I think. I've never called anyone even once to check on the status. Should I? I sent everything off back in September, so I was thinking it'd be early March when it clears. If there was a problem, I would have known by now right? IMO you should always call a month after to make sure it's pending. There's been a few incidents where for some unexplainable reason paperwork went missing and people didn't find out until 6 months later and had to start all over. Also, I would check around the 6 month mark after it goes pending in case there's an issue and you didn't receive notice.

if you go back a few pages, the "final pending", "final stage", "2nd pending". is all mistakes corrected and preperations in order, your form is now on the examiners desk awaiting final signature. (est up to 30days to approval, usally sooner)

I had two suppressors about 3 weeks apart. They approved the first, and then held the paperwork until the second approved and mailed them both at once. The first was approved jan 4 and both were received the 31st.

My last suppressor was approx ~15 days from approval to the dealer phone call, if that info helps. Yes , I also had 2 within the same month and they did hold / combine them.
Im sure 30 days is just a safe buffer number. Ive heard better and rarely ive heard worse. Your milage may vary...

The guy running the store didn't have the combination for the safe to make the final transfer. I was bummed, mostly at myself for not calling first.

Had phone message Friday p.m. from my SOT that tax stamp had arrived. Foolish me; I made the 40 mile drive Sat a.m. to my SOT's store. He wasn't there, nor his assistant. My dealer sent a package of several forms, they shipped them all back at the same time, which is why is was 3 weeks from approval to receipt.

I have a form 1 went pending sept4. Called jan 31 and they said probably march.... That doesn't add up so I figure they are just spouting off a time frame now to appease.

Just got a Form 1 back at exactly 6 months 3 weeks..got a Form 4 back in exactly the same time in September 2012 so they don't seem to be getting any quicker. Both are in a Trust and in WI.

Oh and my dealer said he actually got some back in 4 months when I picked mine up in September...he was shocked so no idea why those went so fast.

Had something strange happen. I mailed in two forms/checks last week Thursday and when I woke up and checked the bank account this morning, the checks had already cleared. I have never had one clear nor have I had a customer say their's cleared that quick. Wonder how this could be??

i sent my form 4 on monday 2-4, it arrived on wed 2-6, and they cashed the check on friday 2-8.

I have 4 form 4s in process at ATFE. One took 6 days from the day I shipped it to the day the check was cashed. The other three took 5 days. What you describe sounds fairly normal to me.
