Range Report Best setup for iphone remote target cam?

I want to use an iphone or Ipad device to view long range targets with a remote camera, If you do this what is your setup.

I have the ability to leave a laptop with a verizon air card down range and have a jump box with 120 and 12 volt power.

I assume i need an IP camera of some sort? its just all to me and im not super tech savy.

If someone made an app where you could remotely trigger the camera and have it text it to another phone or computer would work. I looked but I couldn't find one

There are several iPhone apps out there to view and control IP cams.

I just don't know exactly how setting it up works. I would imagine I caoutchouc set the camera up down range and let it transmit through laptop via air data card and use iPhone with ip camera app to view and control it.
