I am out of good ammo, anyone know where I can find some .308 168 or 175gr

Also, if you are in the area, Crosshairs Tactical in Torrance had (last week) a lot of 7.62X51 147gr Winchester white box ammo for sale.

Just ordered some 155gr from DallasReloads.com. As an FYI- they have a lot of 155s, but are out of 168s.

Copper Creek is out of .308 right now. I have an order waiting to be filled there, which is about all you can do in this environment. Either pay the gouging prices or get in line with one of the good guys and wait your turn. Every now and then some FGMM will pop up on Palmetto State's website, but it's usually gone within 20 minutes.

They seem to be filling orderes fairly quickly. I ordered 15 boxes about a month ago and got them within two weeks. Good ammo!

Academy sports often had fgmm 175s for $23.

I have adopted the "I won't shoot if I can't replace it" Theory. Since I reload all I shoot, I only shoot what I can reload, and my stocks are down since I reloaded everything I had when juggears became president 4 years ago.

Thanks dhawkins for the info. Still looking, seems to have gotten preventing harder, especially as some firms have stopped reloading. So if anyone has updated info on who has new or can reload .308 win, match grade 175 or 168gr SMK. Or if you have ammo to sell let me know.

On a related topic does SMK have a G7 drag coefficient? Where do you find this information!

The local ammo shop near my home has Federal 175 BTHP ammo and I believe it was around $28.00 per 20 rounds. If you'd like, I can go grab some the next time I'm there!

Thanks Bmbardillo. Djarecke, thanks for the offer. I had 3 Hiders help me out plus found a bunch at palmetto armory and a bunch more from Gunbot list. This will cover me for now, sank about 2k on ammo, all I can afford for a while. I think I will keep this thread going though for others, some great information from Hiders. So if anyone has additional info on where to get ammo at a decent price post it (if it ain't a family secret!). On the plus side I found getting ammo this time a lot easier than a few months back, hopefully this is a good omen.

Having a fine rifle and not reloading is akin to ordering a fine ribeye steak....and not having any teeth to eat it with!!

Too right Sharpsman. Thanks for the info' rideHPD and Stand.Deliver. Keep it coming folks, lot of hungry shooters out there with no teeth (Sharpsman).
