I have yet to fire a round, but so far I'm very impressed. Just feels different in a tighter, smoother, better way. Here's a couple of IPhone pictures on the deck, just to show it did happen! CKruse

Very nice weapon, I don't think I have ever saw a person who did not like their JP rifle.

Is that a 20" barrel and HDRM optic? If so, I think I have it's twin on order. Very nice looking rifle; I think the PRS stocks look bada** on a longer gun.

It's a 22" I:10 twist barrel. The optic is the latest generation Bushnell with the Z/S, G2 reticle, and HS turrets. Sounds like your setup will be very similar. CKruse

I was surprised by that, too. I ordered the dust cover upper, which was an upgrade option. I was pleasantly surprised to see the forward assist included. CKruse

Sweet. I never owned a whole JP rifle, but I only use their full mass BCG's when I can get 'em. Nothing is smoother.

The forward assist is part of the new PSC-12 upper. The PSC uppers are now compatible with the DPMS style lowers. According to their website the standard JP LRP-07 lower is modified to accept the PSC upper. I think that these new uppers will continue to increase the popularity of the JP system. The PSC upper is about $200 more than the base LRP upper and only $75 more than the LRP w/ dust cover upgrade. I ordered the PSC-12 with a 16" barrel and 15" handguard. I can't wait to get it in. Please post a Range Report.

Sweet rig! Can't wait to read a range report, and I'd really also like to hear about the scope. I'm sure you'll enjoy shooting this rig!

The PSC-12 upper is dual-charging. Mine is side charge only (JP-proprietary), with the forward assist. Not sure what to make of it. I'll call Dustin Monday and get the info. It has the Silent capture spring, heat sink, pretty much everything. I will definitely post my impressions and a range report when I can get to it. Thanks for all the positive comments. I've been super impressed with JP's customer service, and support of L.E. shooters. CKruse

I have had my JP LRP-07 for a while and I am finally going to do a field test on June 29. I will be posting pics and range report ASAP. I am glad to see everyone who got their JP's are happy.

Sweet rifle ! I've always been happy with anything that said JP on it . Hope it serves you well !

I spoke with Ben today at JP. The forward assist upper is a new variation they have gone to. As I stated earlier, I was expecting the dust cover, and got both! Always nice to get more than you were expecting. I'll be getting out later in the week to do some preliminary shooting. I also wanted to show a pic of the muzzle treatment. I went with the jam nut, figuring it would allow me to use whichever brake or suppressor quick attach I wanted to. Not quite as slick as timed and blended, but really handy to change out. CKruse

On Thursday I braved the searing heat and did the break in per the JP manual. Not going to argue the merits, just following the manufacturer's guidelines. I've also found that when I've done this I've had an easier bore to clean in the long run. I used 60 rounds of factory 168 SMK FGMM for the break in. Most groups were right at an inch or just under at 100 yd. Shot off the Atlas bipod and BT Monopod. Looks promising. :) Today I loaded up a few rounds and headed out in much less heat! 175 SMK over Varget in Hornady Match brass. Shot 4 groups of 5. Two were for gas adjustment, two were to try and get a decent grouping. Rifle was again shot from the bipod/monopod. CKruse

Jumped up .5 grain and shot this. The other two groups were right at MOA, but I was single loading and adjusting gas as I went. Can't wait to get back out and launch some more with the JP LRP-07! It appears we have the makings of a winner! Grand total of 80 rounds has me very impressed! CKruse

I need to acclimate a bit to the gas gun, load a bunch of ammo, and go for it! I'll do my best to make it happen. With work and the Holiday coming up, please be patient. CKruse

Any updates? I am thinking that I need to sell things to get one of these. Also, I would love some more pictures. Can't stop drooling over this one, sweetest AR10 platform around.

Holiday and now work have kept me from updating. I'm anxious to get back at it. Hang in there, CKruse
