Rifle Scopes 2014 Vortex New Products Announced

Looks like the EBR2 b with some modifications....I like it. Hope they do reticle upgrades for older models.

We will continue to do reticle and turret swaps just as we always have, but it will be a good while (at least a year) before we can offer reticle changes with any of the new reticles as all of the actual reticles will be going toward production so we can fill orders for our dealers.

Best Regards
Scott

Wait, are you saying that I could swap out my EBR-2B reticle for the newer reticle if I want (I actually like this reticle, but a more HORUS style reticle may have a slight edge if you don't want to dial)?

Oh is there a turret upgrade that is needed on the RAZOR? I just bought me a new RAZOR so I'm just curious....

Man I was just about to order the Viper HS LR 6-24x50 with the XLR recticle because the PST line doesn't have it. Now seeing that the PST line is going to offer EBR-2C I don't know if I want to gamble the wait mid-end 2014?

Question, I got a razor with the spuhr mount from mile high to try out. EBR2 5X20.
I Really like the glass and ret. It tracks great. Shot a Beta match this weekend where the cup
Is going to be held. My only complaint is the eye box is too small.
Any changes to that on the new ones? Great scope otherwise.

Choices choices. I love the Razor line up. If I had my choices of reticle, I would go with the EBR-2 with the MIL readouts on each line. The EBR-2B has the number right next to the vertical center line and they get in the way when there's Left-Right wind. Just my thoughts. I'm excited to get my hands on the 4.5-27x

I got excited when I saw the 3-18x50. It looked like the perfect scope for me until I saw the weight........outrageous!

Pics of the 2C are up..

Will be curious to see if the. 4.5-27, and others like it that are sure to come, in the $2600-$3000 range will help bring down the price of the $7K Hennys.

Really nice optics and features on these scopes but after checking them at the SHOT yesterday I felt the illumination needs to be adressed. It reflects a whole lot inside the scopes even at lower powers and that felt quite anoying. Apart from that, they are topnotch. HEAVY but nice.

I emailed Vortex about the release of 43127 and they said mid to late May.

I, hope they release it sooner. I just ordered the PST-43128 from SWFA today. I figured I might as well get in line now.

That's good news. I'm really looking forward to getting it mounted and out on the range.

Has anyone heard if we are still looking at the end of May or beginning of June for the new MRAD scopes with the EBR2-C reticle?

So on the HD II models, I am wondering what kind of light input you guys are getting. I have taken a lot of shots just barely on the edge of the legal light limit for hunting in Texas, and I would like to know how crystal clear some of the longer range scopes will be for low light conditions.

Based on talking to a buddy at Vortex you are looking at about 96% light transmission.

It’s a really tough number to pin down, but I can say it will be as nice as anything out there-

If you were to ever try one and be unhappy, I would be happy to take back for full refund if it did not meet your expectations

Well I received some bad news yesterday on the new FFP PST scope with the EBR2-C reticle when I messaged Vortex on Facebook.

Question:
How are you guys looking on the release date for the PST-43128's? I ordered one from SWFA back on 04/09/2014. Just wondering if your still looking within the next week or 2.

Answer: It's looking like it's gotten pushed back another 1-2 months before we get them. I do apologize for the wait and we will get it out as soon as we can. Thanks again.

I got tired of waiting for the Ebr 2-c and ordered the Ebr-1. After mulling through the through the scope pics thread here I decided I like the cleaner look of the regular mil hash reticle better.

I'm getting to that point. Or going with a bushnell with G2.

That's what I wound up doing. I don't suspect I'll regret it either. Who knows when the vipers will actually materialize.
