To good to be true??
Anyone use them?

It's the G7 without the ballistic software. The beam divergence is something like 2.0 vs the Terrapin's 1.5. Field Firing Solutions has an interface for it, but I was warned by someone in the know that it wouldn't cut the mustard for long range work. I actually bought one with the data cable for the Nomad. I unboxed it and then decided to return it and take the plunge for the Vectronix 10C. I suspect that with the Terrapin becoming unavailable, this will fill that niche.

I've used one quite a bit for work, electric utility field, and they are a great all around unit. I mainly use it to solve trig problems where I can't get access to poles to measure span lengths or conductor heights. It's nice because I can just stand off to the side of a line, tell it what type of problem I'm trying to solve, shoot the features it tells me to, and it spit out a very accuracy answers. Unfortunately from a shooting standpoint I've never really tested out it's maximum ranging capability since most of our conductors spans are < 500'.

I gotta chime in here guys being an owner of a 200 B model.

I bought the 200B (same as the 360 with less bells) based on it's advertised ranging ability. Couldn't find any reviews from LR users but I took the chance. I didn't take it out right away and that was a mistake. The best range I could get on any reflective target was a tick over 1400...WTF!! Since it was past the 30 day return at Optics Planet I contacted the MFG. They said to send it back, we'll get it right. 5 days later they called and informed me they couldn't find any problems and were returning it. I asked if I could speak with technician who tested it but it was explained that wasn't possible.

When I got it back I took it out immediately and that ranging issue was still present. I called them back and spoke with the same lady who I'd been corresponding with. I sternly voiced my displeasure and explained the problem in detail. I hindsight I think she was just pretending to not know of the units shortcoming. This time I returned it via prepaid shipping label and they had the unit for 3 weeks. This time it returned with a detailed list of test parameters although NONE of which exceeded 1100 yards.

I flipped out and was on the phone going off on this poor girl. She put me on hold to speak with her boss and said they would offer me credit in the amount I paid for a different model, riiiiiiight. I want another version of your crap that won't do what you claim.

My experience with their product and more importantly, customer service is something I want to bring to your attention. Based on real world results that I've read about with the G7 BR2 (they build this for Gunwerks) their product line has improved but I'm still skeptical. I found it interesting that the 200X has a max reflective range of 2500 yards and 1900 non-ref with and accuracy of+/- 1.5" Conversely, the 360R is 2000 ref and 1000 non-ref with +/- 12" accy. This may be due to the compass feature of the 360.

I also bought mine from OP. Good thing I returned it within the return window. I unboxed it and checked it out. I was not impressed at all based on my experience with a friend's Terrapin. The build quality just didn't seem to be there. I've seen pictures of the BR2 with the rubber peeling off the case. To top it off, a long-range shooter who owns one told me to forgot it for long range use, indicating that it wouldn't range near what they say it'll range. Given that it's only slightly less than the Terrapin, I replaced it with one. Have never regretted buying Vectronix. The Vextronix products are bomb proof and will range the distance they say they will range.
