I'm listening to a semi-hefty blonde droning on, dropping a bunch of buzz-terms, virtue signalling her self-righteous ass off in final remarks.

I'm convinced that this guy was a scumbag, but why, in the prosecution's final remarks, do I feel that all men are being tried in that courtroom?

Because we are, but at least this time its in a court of law in stead of the court of public opinion. thats some progress.

Evidently, phasers have an even higher top-level setting than I had ever expected: "Judicial Bitch." Wow. The guy's guilty in your eyes, sentence his ass.

Every single woman who was molested and remained silent as he did it to more women is just as guilty as he is.

They were children. How many spoke up an were not believed. The adults in charge are just as guilty. No different than Jerry Sandusky at Penn State. Reports and Rumors for well over 15 years.

175 years state, non-consecutively after Federal time is served, and restitution is yet to be determined.

He won't make it out of Federal prison. Those charges were for child porn, we know how crimes against children are dealt with. @1J04 can give details for those that are unaware.

And the judge told him to his face that she was signing his death warrant. Something for him to think about for the rest of his, about to be, short life.

Glad to hear that he will be gone forever....

I do wonder why some of the gymnasts did not speak up earlier. Yes, they were children. But at those levels of the sport... are they really just fallen off the turnip truck? Or afraid of being kicked off the team? Or did Mom and Dad say "Shut up." Does not lessen the crime. But in the dozens, maybe hundreds who were molested... noone? Noone?

Victims are not guilty... I get that. But when they silent, they can create more victims.

Hope this scum-weasel dies of serial sodomy....

i bet many of them told their parents but their parents ignored them because fame and fortune were much more important. there are so many that are guilty in this ring the Dr is just the one that got busted.

I hope to GOD that you are wrong. Otherwise, the parents should rot in hell as well. As a father of 5 with 3 daughters; I can't believe that assertion.

If my daughters ever came to me about this, that person would never see a trial. He would be walking along and then everything would go black for good.

As I said. Jerry Sandusky all over again. Yes others should be in prison also.

The judge was just a bit too openly unprofessional and using this for her own career and her own hatred of men for my liking (just look at the photos of her expressions). Way too much grandstanding for a very simple open and shut case.

The doctor was a very bad man.. BUT this only went on for so long because a huge host of other people actively protected him & their own reputations, actively suppressed the reports & actively silenced the victims (Like the settlement with some of the victims, demanding 100k if they talk about it again even in a court room (quashed by raged of public opinion thankfully)).

It's all fine and good to be having the hanging party for this guy, but there is a whole lot of people who should be going to jail right along with him & are not even being hauled out of the woodwork yet.

Where is all the outrage and justice for all the other people in power, educators, officials, lawyers, sponsors, assistants, parents who KNEW what was going on for years and hid it so they could enjoy fame and glory?

I had a similar reaction... and wonder if she did not set up the defendant, Nasser, for an overturn on appeal? It was not a jury trial... and he got the short straw on the judge for sure. If I were his lawyer, I'd be saying that he has a good chance of overturning based on the judge's behavior.

Doubt he would live that long in jail... But it was my reaction!

she isn't giving him an out, just saying what we are all saying, that level of creepdom deserves every level of disguist that can be summoned on it.

Yeah she is agreeing with us, but she is a judge she is supposed to be impartial and by getting in the weeds she has most likely given grounds to his scumbag lawyers to appeal on.

Well I know what your saying but this fuckers dead, no lawyer is going to push to hard for him, if at all.

I hope they pass him around cell blocks a,b,c,d,e,f,...etc. for a rectal exam.

On that subject, the judge strictly admonished Nassar from anything even smelling like medical practice behind bars.

Didn't he plea guilty to avoid this level of notoriety?

I am going to step out on a limb and have to disagree with some of you. I personally think the judge did an excellent job. That piece of shit brought ALL of this on himself.

It is not uncommon to hear that victims never get a voice. The judge allowed anyone who was a victim to speak, including indirect victims such as parents.

Nasser is an arrogant fuck tard who did not want his dirty laundry aired out in public. Why give him that?? Also if he was so fucking embarrassed then he should NOT have written that stupid ill contrived letter to the judge.

I am glad she read the letter in court, it shows the mind and arrogance of the fuck tard. To somehow justify finger banging a 12 year old (to start) 3 times a week for 3+ years (guess he doesn't like them after about 16) as a "medical procedure" is FUBAR!!!

It is common (even here) to hear "judges are not harsh enough". The fact he got a tongue lashing along with his sentence does not upset me at all.

Why in the hell should he be given any decency??

Was it wrong for her to do what she did because she is a woman? If it was a Male judge would everyone feel the same?

That Fuck Tard would be DEAD, had he had contact with my daughter.

THIS ^ in spades. You "Plea", you know, admit doing wrong, the gloves come off behind the Bench more often than you'll ever know. See it all the time. The Judge doesn't have to walk on pins n needles once you admit being (fill in the blank) Felon. Once you Plea and then start to think you're on the same playing field as you were before you Plead. Bang. Big surprises come your way when reality hits. I'm not talking to you as the 'alleged criminal', I'm talking to you as the self admitted criminal. BIG DIFFERENCE.

@2ndamendfan Your spill regarding "judges are not harsh enough" and would it be the same reaction if he was Male was spot the fuck on Jimmy. I just deleted a couple other paragraphs due to no good could have come from my comments. What I said above about Judges being harsh enough is enough. People wanting it both ways when it suits them don't cut it.

My opine is she was thee best Judge for "this" case and those victims. Period. I truly hope the investigation does not stop here. This is just the beginning IMHO. The resignations are eye candy and not nearly close enough to making this right. A metric shit ton of people in this "CONSPIRACY" need to be incarcerated. INCLUDING PARENTS !!

He said he pled to avoid more "hurt to the victims". That is crap, he pled to try an fly under the radar in prison. He knows what happens to child molesters in prison. I hope to read the headline soon.

I agree @1J04. People are resigning and such purely to try and save their skin. Definitely need to spread some more justice around.

Many were children, and this guy was an accomplished expert at manipulating them. Let us not blame the children, let us ask who decided that the USOC should be able to remove them so far from their parents? Why did their parents trust these people? I would not allow my child to go for an Olympic or any sport unless I were involved. My kids go to karate five nights a week and I watch every class.

AJ... That's an interesting point that I had not considered! I did not realize he pled guilty. I thought he requested trial by judge instead of facing a jury.

Very interesting angle on it. And I learned something... I didn't even think about how a judge's approach could 'alter' in a guilty plea. Never sat through a sentencing hearing... So all new to me! Great points!

As for the parents... other gymnasts... schools... administrators.... coaches... there are a lot of people with destroyed lives on their hands. Shame we can't get a list and an open season.

Cheers,

Sirhr

Yes Sir @sirhrmechanic . That's kinda why I piped up. I'm unlucky enough to have more Courtroom experience than most Ambulance Chaser's. There is no reason for most people to know that once you 'plead' guilty to a crime, and I'm not talking Alford Plea, it's a game changer at many levels. The best part is is that His or Her Honor does not 'have' to maintain decorum. 'Most' good dressing downs in Court come once one pleads guilty. If ya got a feisty Judge on the Bench those are the ones that may very well become entertaining, one way or the other.

In all fairness to the thread though, she had a hard-on from the get go for him. And so did Maser.

I just gotta wonder how many in the USOC heard something and considered the proverb about those who live in glass houses. While Nassar seems to be guilty I think others must have had their own reasons for helping him cover up. I hope the investigation continues rather than letting the USOC cover up everything else.

Gotta wonder just how many sick shits are drawn to herds of scantily dressed pre and post-pubescent teenagers, right?

Yeah, Bela.... I believe you employed Dr. Nasser....

Of course, Time Magazine put this on the cover... which was probably a sellout issue for the pedobear crowd... I recall it was controversial as hell in the '90s... Yeah, all a big secret. On the cover of Time. Wonder if the USOC ever thought of ordering "Pizzas..." Oh... I didn't go there...

our property is down the road from the high school, between the cat calls from the road as girls are walking by, or cat calls and whistles coming from the gas station next door, i say there are a lot more sick fucks out there that we could immagine.

I think that the operating rule of thumb here is that you should wait until they're well out of high school, and then throw them a half-dozen rolls of quarters, allowing time for further maturation and the rising costs of telephone calls. My wife is twelve years younger than I am, and I met her when she was 21. And that, in retrospect, seemed edgy.

did you pick her up on the magic carpet?

Quarters dont work anymore, there are no phone booths, can use them in a sock for defense though. gotta get them a cell phone..
