For those of you shooting the Valkyrie - what do you think? Shooter or not? Is it replacing another gun? Do you feel like it has staying power in your own gun arsenal and rotation - or has the "new" worn off and you are going back to something else? Still on the fence myself as to whether to get one. I am not wanting a hunting rife just something to get to 800-1000 yards with limited recoil and reasonable accuracy.

Again? This has been covered very well. There’s plenty of us running Valkyrie with nothing but praise for the round.

The reloading thread is a good place to see real world accuracy and velocities with various bullets and you can plug into a ballistic calculator to get the idea for yourself what they’ll do at distance.

It’s the best commercially supported round for LR target shooting that’s been stuffedin a AR15. Period. Mine is here to stay.

just received some backordered some hornady 88g's for mine, and got first round hits out to 750 or so. problem vs my 308 (with the big 175's) is that hits are a lot harder to spot.

Seems to be working- first place Open in a team match were both running Valkyries, first place team in Tactical are having Valkyries built. Smallish match, but some good shooters.
