J; Just take your time, heal up, get over this episode. You'll be there before you know it. When mine first happened, I was told by many people all the things I wasn't going to be able to eat. Turned out to really not apply. I still eat peanuts and popcorn, which are supposed to be a big no no. My gut doctor is a very sharp guy, very on top of his field of expertise. I asked him if I was ever going to be able to eat another cashew in my whole life and he looked at me (smirking the whole time) like I was from Mars. I said "look, I'm the virgin here, this is unknown/uncharted territory for me. I don't know anything about this shit. I just don't want to do anything that results in me killing myself". He said that I'd be able to eat pretty much whatever I wanted, but just do it in moderation and pay attention to any warning signs, like feeling punky, or running a temp for no apparent reason. He gave me a scrip for Amoxicillin, so I'd have it to carry when I travelled. Never had to or even felt the need to use it. The common denominator was to always drink plenty of water. Your situation could be different than mine , so listen to your doctor first. But I haven't had a relapse and it's been 5 years. I gotta think you're gonna be just fine. Me ? I think my liver's gonna give out long before I have another relapse/episode of the "D"....
