I don’t hear much about this reticle. Would appreciate hearing some opinions from those who use it. I’m a MSR reticle fan and I see similarities and improvements in the LRR.

I might sell one NIB with them LRR reticle.depends how im going to like the new zcomp..the sb LRR at europtic is around 4200Thank you all, this helps clears up some questions I had rolling around my head!
I debated the LRR for a while if you look at the LRR-MIL reticle release page on EuroOptic, the reticle is way too thin.
Id recomend the LRR for 500 minimum not for plinking inside 300 unless you turn on illumThat was my concern and the reason for the post, my aging eyes don’t help either!

If I was to be totally honest here I purchased a V-22 which is due in this week and I’m looking for the right scope for it. I’ve never owned a S&B, I don’t like most of there reticles to be honest but I thought the LRR looked promising to me. I thought the small center dot would be helpful especially for precision 22’s. But if it’s unusable at short distance that won’t work at least on the Vudoo.
Another caveat is the precision rifle school I like to attend is having an unknown distance class this coming weekend and thought of throwing that on my Creedmoor and milling some targets. I could always move my Gen II razor to the v-22 and use the s&b on my Creedmoor beings I normally shoot much longer ranges with it then I would with a 22. I should just go back to considering the nightforce 7-35. That might be a better choice IDK.
I've been using the LRR reticle for a while and while I can see some peoples point that the center dot is too fine, I have not had that same experience. Perhaps it is because I like to do a lot of my shooting at higher magnifications regardless of distance. To this point though, I really think it comes down to personal preference since one person may find it too fine while someone like me appreciates how small it is because it does in fact allow for a finer aiming point. IMO, there is not an aiming system out there that does not require some type of compromise on the part of the shooter. It all just depends on what you find to be acceptable and what you can not tolerate.
Thanks for the reply. According to the spec’s the center dot is the same size as the open center on the Razors EBR 2C. So it is small but usable at higher magnification. Quick question do you use illumination, and if so does the reticle appear more like a cross hair or can you make out the center dot and hash marks?
Help me understand, I’m attaching both the vortex and the LRR reticle layouts. The s&b says .06 inches at 100yds and the razor says .06 open center but doesn’t specify mills or inches at a 100. I could be way wrong but that’s how I read it.
