GAMER CHANGER TESLONG BORE SCOPE!!! -- FINALLY A QUALITY REASONABLY PRICED BORE SCOPE!

Just think , now you no longer have to go to the doctors to be probed you can do it yourself from the comfort of your own home ... endoscope / upper gi . You can make it d,y.i project to share with the family ... lol and it is neat to use on guns , It still does not make julienne fries , but two out of 3 ain't bad .

I wonder if this thing is so inexpensive due to some kind of subsidy from the barrel making industry? LOL! ;)

I'm thinking it's a Trojan horse from China in union with our security agencies to get a camera in our houses as everyone now puts tape over their laptop camera lenses.

In time of HD camera being in every cheap shit telephone ,tablet etc its bizzare to see the low quality camera & screen combo used in Lyman

I received mine after a bit of a delay that I will attribute to probably a pretty large backlog. Didn't inconvenience me, so not a big deal.

Hooked it up to my MacBook and started "PhotoBooth". Works just fine, good pic quality, etc. Overall, I'm happy. For $50.00, I'm particularly happy.

Wanna see rough? OMG... Here's my poor Mosin. First gun I ever bought. Fired it all of 2 or 3 times then got on the Ar15 bandwagon...

Is there any chance salvaging it? :(

@gayguns - This barrel looks like it needs a really solid cleaning. I'd scrub it hard with a bronse brush and let it soak in solvent at least overnight and then re-borescope it.

Do you go to the "Advanced" settings and adjust the brightness of the LED?

I'm finding the default light too bright and I have to set it lower to see good detail without glare.
Nope... because using it on the Macbook as a new source for Photo Booth. Haven't got any apps to work. Drat. Now I know there are settings, I'll have to try again.

I use the link provided in the first nstructions (nto) and it allows for some limited camera control, mainly brightness.

Works as well as I need it to.

Heres my pics from a MPA/Spencer barrel with 120 rounds on it. 6.5creed

Barrel is shooting lights out.... just started load development and already shooting .4s....very pleased :)

Any tips on my cleaning (my reason for this borescope)... im seeing some "blue?!" in the front part of barrel...then it goes away about half way up the pipe?

Question comparing the Teslong to the Lyman Borecam. A couple of you guys have made the comparison and concluded the Teslong has better image quality. In looking at pics that have been posted I would agree and an added plus is the color rendition. It does seem that the Borecam has a wider field of view. Is it worth switching?

Based on what has been previously posted, doesn't look too shabby. Maybe that chipping around the, what I believe to be, gas port?

Remington BDL Varmint Special 22-250 circa 1980 right after the chamber but it gets better and is just fine starting midway...didn't keep a log on this one but guess less than 2000 rounds...was expecting a copper coated mess but found practically none...will continue to shoot as long as the groups hold up...

Yes!.. I think so. I mean I got it hooked up on my Smart phone Samsung Note 9. So if it worked there it has to work on an iPad. Right?

But for Andriod you have to get the right software.. most USB Camera software arefucking GARBAGE... I learned that the hard way by having to install and UNinstall 4 or 5 different ones. SO ANNNOYING...

Let me get the link.

UPDATE:

Here's the link and directions as I wrote them to my friend Peter I was testing it for. LOL

1) Open Google Play and search for USB Camera.

2) Select
USB Camera by Shen Yao as seen below. I tried 4 or 5 others and they are for shit. This was the only one that worked flawlessly and first time.

View attachment 7117408

3) Click “Install”

4) Wait a few moments for the OPEN button to appear.

5) Accept all pop up alert(s) it might throw up informing you it needs access to your phone’s camera.

6) It will prompt you to plug the Camera in.

7) Accept the inquiry to allow USB camera software to access the USB camera hardware.

8) You should immediately see what the USB camera is seeing.

If you don’t you’re a fucking retard. Please throw your phone out and go back to using a landline.

How do you exit this program properly. It wants to run in the background after ejecting the endoscope.

Never mind. Just "X" out of the program is one way. BTW, nice app recommendation. The OEMs Android app didn't work on my Kyocera.

I am using the AMCap software they reccomend, and the images look great but for some reason when I save an image capture the quality dropps off. I looked for settings to change this but they all seem to be maxed out quality wise, anyone have a suggestion?

I just received mine today. Two things:

1) I can confirm it works with chromebook.
2) It will sell a lot of cleaning supplies and barrels.

I scoped my HMR and I'm too ashamed to post pics. Looks absolutely horrible with all the carbon/copper. I'm frankly surprised it shoots as well as it does. I thought I was doing a decent job cleaning but now I'm on the hunt for better chemicals. Mostly something for carbon. Any suggestions welcome.

Boretech c2 and c4 and wipeout. If I ever get free time I want to put them to the test with my scope but I think they work well.based on looking at my barrels that I’ve used them in vs barrels have not. Need to do a before after though in some old ones I can cut up for samples.

careful you don't mess up a good thing. maybe it is "seasoning" and not too dirty if it still groups well.

My nature being what it is, I intend to find out. I've always been one to conduct legit experiments and this camera gives me the tool I needed. With my handloads the gun gets just under 1/2 moa at 100.

Order placed.

LOL..."frequently bought together" box at the bottom of Amazon page lists...
1. Teslong Borescope
2. Boretech Carbon Remover
3. Boretech Copper Remover

Just seeing that was worth the $50 bucks, HAHAHAHA

My Teslong arrived today after fighting with my laptop's camera I finally got it to work, but the connection I'll most use, the adapter to my Android sucks it keeps disconnecting, every time I turn the endoscope camera it disconnects. Why chintz on an adapter?

I finally got mine up and running, and I'm very happy with it. Simply asembled the two parts, brought up the Tablet, plugged in the scope, select the camera icon, chose which camera and bingo, the image appeared.

My old laptop is belly up forever, so I purchased an inexpensive Win 10 Tablet. That was the delay, awaiting the fulfillment of the tablet back order.

The whole thing was under $250, and I'm very happy with it.

I had given some thought to a manual lapping of the AR Stoner 6.5 Grendel bore I had just purchased; but the borescope just told me it's simply perfect.

My Bergara BMP 6.5 Creedmoor with about 365 rounds.

This is definitely better than the other short focus bore scope I have. My other one doesn't have a side view mirror.

Did you fire all 365 rounds at once? That is some serious firecracking....

Getting the hang of this thing. This is my CMMG 9mm PCC with 10,000+ rounds and counting. Very pleased to find my cleaning techniques actually work and this barrel still looks 100% throughout.

My "lunar" barrel...lol...in my first pic...a Colt A2 circa 1984...still shoots great despite the battle scars...easy to see rapid and prolonged 223 fire takes a toll on a barrel.

Care to share some of your cleaning techniques?

Well, as usual you guys were right-ordered and received it in 2 days. Plugged it into my HP laptop and boom, there it is! Awesome resolution.

Now a question regarding what I've found. Picture 1 is about two thirds of the way down the barrel and picture 2 is pretty close to the chamber and picture 3 is even closer to the chamber. It looks like carbon to me but what are your opinions?

I've spent two days scrubbing the dogshit out of this thing using bronze and soft brushes with Bore Tech copper remover, Bore Tech carbon remover, Bore Tech Eliminator, Montana Extreme copper killer And Sweets 7.62 and I STILL can't get this shit out of the barrel.

Any thoughts?
