I habe an extra SAP 2 round holder i was considering modifying to do that with.

I am surprised no one has made extensions for these mags. I have seen other floorplates but none that add capacity...

I have heard that MK machine is working on one but I haven’t see anything yet. I’m going to actually take one of my magazines apart and experiment with putting on a little looped extension cord that hangs down out of the mag well to make magazine changes easier. Probably a little piece of 550 cord. Since I put my rifle in the MPA chassis magazine changes aren’t quite as easy and that will keep me from needing to reach into the mag well to pull the magazine out after I hit the release. Of course if someone would release a magazine extension it would not be an issue. I almost went to a CZ457 this year simply because I could get 3 round extensions for the magazines.

Does a bravo have MLOK slots? If so, it’ll likely work as is. If not, I can work up a version if enough people are interested.

OK gang, I have a Tikka in a grey KRG Bravo, I also have an Area 419 ARCA 14" rail on it, which is supported by the KRG spigot and a custom spacer block. I can get a few pictures to everyone if that doesnt make sense.

I have a question about the KRG nightvision cap options. Either the backbone mounted one (since my T1X backbone has the new hole pattern on top) or the spigot mounted one. Which is better, and why?

I often end up with my hand near the barrel, and think the protection would be good. It adds a little weight at the right point, since my rifle is still tail heavy, which is not typically how I like my match guns to balance (i dont want to add too much more weight with the KRG weight kit, for offhand, I think this can help). How much will this impact the balance of my rifle?

My other logic is that I can mount an offset flashlight to it with minimal barrel shadow for when i am hunting squirrels at night.

Does this make sense? What would you do, and why?

Let me introduce you to the Night Stalker. It works really well for shooting at night. No obstruction, isn't in the way when carrying by hand, easy on easy off both the light beam and the flashlight itself. Pretty happy with how it sits. The KRG Spigot mount is needed if you want to use the light underneath and use a bipod. Even with this setup you could easily get your hand out front on the stock and the flashlight wouldn't interfere with your grip. Also, you don't have to use a big flashlight but once you get used to the output it's hard to put a smaller one back on. The mag holder is just there to.....hold mags lol. I mean, if I was hunting I wouldn't put mags in mine because the fit is not tight enough. When I go to the bench I get tired of rounding up mags so that's why mine is there.

Another thing about the spigot mount is you can buy a night vision mount cap kit that would allow you to mount a clip on night vision device. You could actually do that without the spigot mount with the newer Bravo stock.

Rifle weight as shown. Can be a lot lighter with the removal of that scope. Scope weighs 46.5 oz according to Vortex's website.

Dual light setup. Wasn't effective because the larger light overpowered the smaller one. Two of the same size would work IMO.

I can give that a shot. I'm down to 20# as it is now, but I am in the factory stock instead of a chassis, if that world make any difference or not.

Mine's also still in the factory stock and I'm guessing it was around 60 inch pounds from the factory. I lighten it up to 35 and that seemed to cure the feeding problems.

I’m really surprised you couldn’t get your trigger lighter than that. So far I have worked on six tikka rifles. Two were T3’s and four were T1x’s. I was able to get them all to a nice crisp 1 1/2 lbs with the factory spring. If I went much lower than that I started having reliability issues but they all work great at. 1 1/2. I wonder if something is wrong with your trigger.

Can't get T1X trigger < 2.5lbs

I just got my new T1x. It also has the same sear engagement problem when the trigger pull weight is reduced. Does anyone have had this issue fixed by Beretta ? Or is there a way to increase the sear clearance for proper trigger reset ?

Nothing to do with the spring. Look at the sear engagement in one of the pictures. If you compare a working trigger (my T3X) with my T1X trigger (won't lower less than 2.25lbs), you'll notice a difference.

Beretta will fix it, but it requires you sending your rifle in and waiting the ~6 weeks.

I didn't want to wait since I was competing... so I swapped my T3 trigger w/ a spring into my T1X, and bought a Timney 2-stage for $180. Better than waiting 6 weeks from Beretta. They also didn't want me to send it in my Bravo and I had to take it all back to the Stock parts and I didn't want to do that either.

It's only with SK Biathlon (only sk I've tried in it) but Norma, Eley and Center X have fed flawlessly

My T1x appears to exhibit the "6th round jam" problem from all 3 of my mags using SK Rifle Match, Pistol Match Special, Long Range Match, and Standard Plus. It happens about 8 out of 10 mags and it's usually the 6th round, but sometimes it's the 5th round. No problems with Eley, Lapua, Federal, CCI, Fiocchi, Aguila, or anything else so far. It really looks like a mag problem to me, but I've changed my action screw torque as described in this thread to see what effect it has. Hopefully that helps because all varieties of SK I've tried seem to shoot well in my rifle (especially Pistol Match Special).

So odd... not sure what is going on with all the feeding issues. I haven't had any feeding issues in my Tikka or the new one I just got. Both have fed Eley Contact and SK+ fine.

I also got a chrono out today and measured some stuff.

CCI SV with a variety of rifles. I rarely ever chrono test, have plenty of opportunity. I guess I don't put much credit into the FPS ES and SD. I mean, if it consistently shoots good for me at 55 yards I could care less about any of the other stuff. I mainly started doing this to check the difference in barrel length and what the optimum length "velocity wise" was for SV ammo. All CCI SV from the data shown is from the same lot number. More than likely shot on the same day.

Looking at the Bravo, I think a flat backed version with something like the 3M VHB tape would work pretty well. I don’t see a direct screw mount option without modifying the stock a fair bit.

When @littlepod is back next week, we’ll play with one a bit and see what will work well.

I used to have a similar problem with my Tikka, then I loosened up the action screws a little and my problems have disappeared. SK rifle and match is pretty much the only ammo I shoot in all of my. 22 rifles.

I'm really really fighting my Tikka, I'm about to give up on it.

I also get these random stove pipe misfeeds. About every third mag, with a variety of ammo. I haven't noticed a pattern of which bullet, could be the sixth but sometimes it's the first.

The thing that's irritating is very inconsistent results accuracy wise. I'll fire 2 five round groups from the same mag and one will be 1/2 inch and one will be 2" strung vertically. Or 4 in a group and 1 way off a couple inches away.

I've spent about an much on ammo as the rifle is worth testing it.sk standard+, rifle match, cci sv, federal gold medal, center x.

It's in a bravo chassis, I'll try and check action screws tomorrow and see if that does anything.

Super frustration.

I have also swapped scopes and just put a leupold on there tonight and will test it again tomorrow....

I have two purchased two T1X's now, and they both have shot < 1" groups at 100 yards with match ammo. Both my T1X's have exhibited issues where the spent casing gets stuck in the action.. like it will pull out but it doesn't eject out. Both of my T1X's have had to adjust the ejector spring.

This is done by unscrewing the mag well, unscrewing the spring, and slightly bending it so that it's a bit more pointier where it's pushing the brass out. This little 5 minute job has solved the issue on both of my T1X's and I haven't had a problem since.

My new T1X has had the vertical round happen once, in 500 rounds. Not sure why it happened, but even after removing that round, it looks like the magazine follower spring was off, and all rounds in the magazine were pointing more vertical. I had to take out all the rounds and reload the magazine. I think the vertical issue is with sloppy loading of the magazine, or something off with the magazine. But that only happened once in 500 rounds.

On my older T1X, I have had it happen once in 5000 rounds. And it was a friend shooting the rifle so not sure how he loaded the magazine.

It is a finicky rifle to get setup right to be really honest, but once setup, no issues in thousands of rounds... Out of the box shooting sub 1" groups at 100 yards for $470 is a pretty damn good deal.

As of today, I still say
If you have $500 - Get a T1X. Get a $25 stock pad from Amazon. Good to go.
If you have $900 - Get a T1X w/ a Bravo.
If you have $1100 - Get a B14R with a new Trigger
If you have $1800 - Get the MPA BA22
If you have $2400 - Get a V22.

Mine has shot a variety of ammo well but really likes the SK standard plus. But It has feeding issues with it. The CCI SV shoots almost as well but no feeding issues. I need to try some Eley and see how it shoots. Have had no failure to eject issues. My trigger adjusted down to 1.5 lbs with no spring swap. Im pretty impressed with the rifle.

That is a great question. I don't have an answer at this time but what I can do is pull the bolts out on mine and measure the rim recessed area and check fit by swapping rounds with the bolts. I will also check to see if the 17HRM mag can fit in the 22 mag well.

I have one "spare" T1x and I have thought about getting the 17 HM2 barrel for it made my Lothar Walther. Of course that wouldn't be a big deal.

If you look at the parts list there is only 1 magazine guide listed and the only difference in the bolt parts is the extractor.

This should tell me both the mags will fit in the guide and the bolts are the same (except the extractor).

This would make sense for production of the 2 calibers. Not sure why they decided on 2 different extractors when CZ 452/455 uses same bolt and all parts for both calibers.

I have not found a receiver/barrel listed anywhere as a replacement part. Tikka themselves has said not to remove the barrel from the receiver..... from this I suspect if they do finally sell as a spare part it will be a barreled receiver only.

Of course none of that has stopped any of us from doing barrel swaps

A couple groups at 25, 50, and 100yd with sk match and sk long range. My rifle has been very picky on ammo. I plan on getting a different barrel. I really want to shrink my 100yd groups. Between the two ibi or walther lothar? What would be a realistic goal for 100yard groups with an aftermarket barrel?

Got my barrel re-reamed this week and got my rifle put together again. It now runs a Win52D + Eley EPS chamber.. so wider/longer. It feeds so nicely now. I absolutely love it. I headspaced it for Pistol Match Special, which I believe was .042" My Center-X was a little bit bigger .043, but I chose the slightly tighter headspace.

Shot 50 rounds pretty quickly at 100 yard berm on a rainy and breezy day. I wasn't that happy with the groups which were all about 1" but really happy with that kind of shooting in a match.

Here's groups for Pistol Match Special. I consistently would shoot 4 in .3" size, and then 1 flyer which most likely was me. Left column is with Center-X which weren't that impressive. I had my rifle torqued at 55 in/lbs, which might be the cause of the random things too. I retorqued it back down to 30 and will test tomorrow.

Quick story of the day is that it's really hard to tell how good a rifle/barrel/ammo is unless you're going to take the time in consistent weather, consistent fundamentals, etc. I'll drop down in prone tomorrow, and take my time and do some more groups to see how consistent things hold up.

Well I received a JARD Tikka T3 trigger and installed it in my T1x. Had to bend the safety leaver a bit to get the bolt to clear. The factory safety has a stud that projects into the bolt. The JARD blocks the trigger fron moving. The difference is day and night.
I only shot a few rounds as the wind gust are around11 to 20 mph. Glad I spent the money and took a chance......

I haven't been in this thread in quite some time. The T1X in the Bravo with a suppressor is still one of my favorite hosts. I have successfully taken it out to 350 yards on 12" steel and is incredibly rewarding to hear hits with CCI SV.

Is anyone producing larger diameter barrel pre-fits for these yet?

Edit: I see Lothar Walther is offering them, anyone else out there to compare to?

The pull weight is not bad but I would like a little lighter. So if I order a spring for it will it be able to go lighter and still not slam fire??

Yes. How much is the trigger weight right now with the factory spring? Are you able to get it to around ~2lbs?

You should be able to use the $10 spring from Elay Precision. I have one in mine, and my rifle is at 1lb 2oz.
