Maybe I need to back down from 43.0 grains to get those type of groups.
Have you tried any of the 140 bergers loaded by hsm?20200112_150058.jpg
The flyer was me....
100 yards 5 shots
-6f out
Factory gun . Seems to like these.
I'm sure a better shooter can tighten it up.

Now have two T3X, One SS CTR in 6.5 CR and a SS lite also in 6.5. Also got a T1X in a Bravo also.

First rifles ever. Been great to get back into shooting after 30+ years. Got the CTR out to 1000 yrs early in the year.

Barrel gets hot quick. Looking to upgrade. What are some good options? Looking to stay in the same caliber.

Finally started to get my new Bartlein 22BR barrel broke in. Loaded a ladder in new brass with 27, 27.2, 27.4, 27.6, and 27.8 of 4166 and then loaded 50 in 4x fired brass with 28 gr of 4166. Also had some 53gr VMax over 32gr of Varget that I loaded as an experiment for a friend.
The dots are 1", first picture is the 28gr load, shots 26-30, second is the same load shots 31-50, 3rd is 5 shots of the 53gr VMax at 3590fps.
All of the ladder with new brass shot 1 moa or larger. Will definately work above 28gr in the future.

28gr IMR4166, CCI450, new Lapua brass, .010" off the lands 2985 av, 8 sd over 15 shots.

Surprised the 53gr Vmax shot that well out of a 1-7" barrel. 1.2 mils to my 416 yard plate. Thinking about setting my barrel from last year back and cutting it down for a coyote rifle.

Ran some 53gr VMax thru the 223 Varmint with 27, 27.1, and 27.2 gr of H4895. 3406fps, 3439fps, and 3443fps, 5 shots each. Pretty close to the 22BR with less powder. The new Reaper stock is going to make a great hunting setup.

Looking forward to shooting some local matches with the German Gun Stock Raptor. Need to get the 28" 6.5 Creedmoor barrel broke in now.

Hello mate.
Can i come to shoot with you tomorrow:love:

My wife just surprised me and ordered me a mpa chassis for my t3x ctr 6.5 cm I had saved on the computer in sniper green. But she didn't order magazines. What magazines will feed correctly in this chassis as it says the Magpul doesn't work?

Not sure.

I'm pretty new to this and asked this exact question a year or so ago and MDT was pretty popular.

They run excellent in MPA, MDT ACC, Oryx and KRG Bravo chassis is all i can tell you.

So, Monday night, I'm sitting at the bar in this small neighborhood bar & grill about to order dinner with my wife.
This guy walks over from about 6 stools down and asks be about the "Beretta" logo tee shirt I'm wearing.
A conversation ensued about shotguns and hunting, so I showed him a couple of photos of antelope and my Tikka CTR.
He had been to the high fenced property where I am fortunate to hunt on several occasions and knew several of the boys in the property owners family.
So he hands me his business card, this guy is a territory rep for Beretta firearms.
I immediately implored him to have Corporate add more sku's to the 3 Tikka Logo'd gear that Beretta sells.
The cry for More Tikka Hats, Shirts, jackets, etc. for the Tikka end users has been sent !

More important get them to import lefty stainless CTRs! Say pick one barrel length in 6.5 Creed and 308 and see how many they will sell. They have the lefty rifles. Make them available.

Anytime. I am planning a Scandinavia trip soon so it might be me that visits.

Come to visit me in Joensuu :)

Just finished this beauty, so i would like to hear what do you think of it ;)

Tikka T3X CTR 260rem.
KRG Whiskey gen III
Spuhr
Vortex Razor HD2
BT bipod
MDT Elite brake
Barrel spiral flutend and custom cerakoted.

B19.JPG

CTR in 6.5CM with the original 24" barrel.
Chassis is KRG Bravo and it has a B&T CAL Gen. 2 bipod, sandback in the rear.

I can do what I want, my groups are half as big when I´m shooting of my range bag.
Shooting from the bipod doesn´t work well for me.

Looking for some help. Looking to get a tikka t3 tac a1. I'm left handed but shoot right handed rifles. My question is can the cheek piece be removed and flipped to the other side by removing the screws. Thanks

How was the shooting?
Surprisingly good for load development. Nothing over an inch with 15 different 3 shot loads and 2 different powders. Not sure if I have figured out how to use range buddy so not sure the group measurements are accurate.

Well, it looks like some shavings from the bullet of course.

Did you clean the new barrel before shooting it?
If you didn´t you should do that first.
There always might be some **** in it from the factory.
Cleaning a new gun comes always before shooting in my case.
With rifles I even try to smooth the barrel out with a bit of J.B.´s.

Then the question is, are they scratched from loading or from shooting.

You may pull some dummies when loaded to check that out.
How wide is the inner case mouth in relation to the bullet dia.?
And do you chamfer the case mouth?

I would go that way, checking out the loading side, just because it is easier.

If you don´t get a result there, you might use a bore scope.

On the other hand, as long as your groups look that good ...

Good luck!

I suspect that you are correct. I looked at it the the last time that I shortened a pin and I concluded that would likely work. I just didn't want to dive into the trigger and loose a pin or spring and be screwed.
While I can respect the work it took to accomplish all this I'm happy with my Timney. I also prefer a 2 stage trigger so when I get my next Tikka (which is certainly going to happen) it will get another Timney in it.

I just bought a t3x ctr in 6.5cm. I am looking at the mpa chassis. Is there any problems with them and the Tikka action. If so what do you recommend. I am really wanting to go ahead and build something I am going to be happy with.
I'd check out what KRG has to offer. They make some fantastic stuff and my Tikka CTR fits into their inlet perfect.

Yes cleaned prior, yes chamfered. 100% positive this isn't a reloading issue.
