Does the trigger feel different than the past gens?
This is better than the AXMC because.....
But if I have to chose between to models then I need to know how they differ.... I'm sure both are fine rifles but what particular feature makes the new one worth more than the old?

I thought the RRS dove tail was going to be incorporated into the chassis just in front of the mag well? Is there a separate rail that has to be added for this?
Look closely, it's there.
Same trigger that's in the ax family
It's a comp trigger. Different housing. So you can't put an OEM trigger from previous AI rifles. I tried it on the ASR since I like the heavier 3lb +
@diverdon There's quite a bit of differences. Very few parts from the AXMC transitioned over to the AXSR's. I would call EuroOptic or Mile High to walk you through it
Noticable differences
- Reduced Action Weight
- Small Firing Pin
- Intergrated RRS Rail/ Grip
- 2 Position Safety
- Competition Trigger set at 2.5lb's
- AR Style Pistol Grip
- 20moa instead of 30moa. Intergrated continuous pic rail on forend (Also 20moa)
- Keyslot instead of Gay MLOK on ASR
- Cam-Lever LOP and Cheek Piece Adjustment. Cheek Piece 1" Longer
- Increased Lug Surface Area, Smoother Bolt Lift
- Still 60 degree 6 lug bolt, but lugs are in a different position. So AXMC bolt bodies aren't compatible in the ASR/ AXSR platforms
Tennon threads are the same as AXMC.
Yes, the ASR/ AXSR forend tubes fit the AX/ AXMC rifles. Def going to buy me a keyslot tube to replace the MLOK....
I thought the comp trigger had pretty poor reviews, though? IIRC, I’ve seen a lot of people on the hide have had their comp trigger go down.
Wasn't it the trigger going down on that new one that cost them the US government trials?

Dont dog pile me for asking, but where is that mlok forearm we were seeing on these??
That was on the ASR Kit, not this new production rifle.
Is the butt stock made out of the same material as the MC or is it aluminum?
That's a pretty sweet rig...EuroOptic has a few AXSR's in house ------- > LINK

Thanks BuLLetIt's aluminum.
I can’t look at it. What they did to that grip upsets me too much.
I’m a AI fanboy but this doesn’t do anything for me. Seems like most of these features(which I don’t care about)could have been incorporated into the AXMC without much trouble.
Is the red dot at the front receiver ring a blowout indicator like on the 50 cals?
Functionally I like the asr's improvements, but why they and some other companies keep machining in an angle to make ar style grips more vertical when they have vertical grips already on the market is beyond me. Engineering around the problem rather than fixing the problem. A.I. should have made their own ar style grips. It could have been epic, guys would be buying their grips to put on their matching AR's. I'm sticking with my AX. Most accurate gun I own.

After comparing with the UK version AX MKIII LA (https://www.snipershide.com/shootin...ternational-ax50-elr-pre-order-update.6987002) I wonder if any of those differences will make it to later iterations of the AXSR. Traditional trigger guard, beefier / extra sling mount on the butt stock, 3 position ambi safety (according to the press release).
Thank You for sharing. Had not seen that comparison sheet before. Definitely like that you receive the standard AI 2 stage trigger with the MKIII.I don’t don’t believe so, it’s clear that AI US wants the AXSR to have some fundamental differences to the AX Mk.III for the rest of the world wide market. See below:
My name is on the wait list for an Elite Sand AXSR in 300N, but every hour or so I check the EuroOptic Site and each time I see that 27inch 338LM in dark earth is still available the more I want it.
