I did not post to take a swipe at you, I just wanted to quote that section of the article to show how much less it was about news and how much more it was written to influence opinion against Kyle without any factual information or research behind it. That was for all of the readers who don’t bother reading complete articles when they see links and only jump on the bandwagon. It’s all too common.

In all seriousness, while we'd all like to think that everyone is introduced to firearms at age 5 by Grandpa, his single-shot Winchester 63, and a box of 22 Shorts, the fact of the matter is that most kids aren't getting that from their aging hippie Boomer grandparents, their GenX mom is who working three jobs, and her boyfriend who is nursing a pill addiction. So it may very well be that their first positive exposure to firearms is a short clip of some spandex-clad hottie punching steel with a PCC at Taran Butler's range, or Colion Noir running a drill with Future as the soundtrack.
I don't know about all that.
But I think we can all agree that spandex-clad hotties punching steel is a wonderful thing. I'm a big fan of the ones where they shoot a mag prone and the recoil makes their ass jiggle. It really makes me appreciate being American.
The other day I went to the range and there were a bunch of kids out there. By kids I mean 7-11 year olds (maybe 6-9). Regardless, I set up way down at the other end since I was blasting the 6.5 to figure THAT problem out. They were packing up; but I was very pleased to see kids shooting 22's. Myself, I indeed had a grandfather who had a BB gun in my hands at age 3. Granted, he was one of those can shoot anything, anytime, perfectly guys. A pure natural. By 5 I think I'd shot my first rifle and I know by 7 I was toting my shotgun to the duck blind.
But, you are correct in that most of these kids growing up only get positive exposure through "spandex clad hotties" and Colion Noir. That's better than nothing. Hell, come to speak of it....SCH's at the range would definitely be a positive experience though something tells me safety may be an issue.

I always consider my standing for 2A to be in my Fathers Brother’s name. Uncle Blondie 10th Mountain was killed by Nazi soldiers in retreat on the day Hilter committed suicide. He was fighting for many of the same freedoms that we are now fighting for on our own shores.
As for the Kyle case, anyone who does not see the obvious huge implications of his case is not paying attention. If his case is not ruled self defense we are all in big trouble.
Finally this whole “cancel culture” is a grossly overused term. Market based pressures are perfect valid in a capitalist society. My wife set up the subscription to receive one case a month of the RTD ESPRESSO CAN DRINKS and we were going to up it to two cases a month because she really likes them, but now we are going to hold off on all of it.........man I am so disappointed I really thought those guys were what they represented.......
