my humble submission

Quadrail, or LM8MWS upper reciever. Can anyone give insight.

aesthetically speaking I prefer the quad rail, sure you'll save some weight but little and on a platform that's known for being a little chonky It wouldn't bother me.

I would say more personal preference

I was leaning that way. Just wasn't sure how much of weight difference. Thanks!

Seemed I've read, and no solid answer for me. I have lmt carrier. Is there any other bolt I can use. Read about JP, but no solid answer. Thanks

I like my dueck defense offsets for close up stuff. Solid like old school a2. I missed a couple close up close targets at big match and will always have reliable close range solution...

Nice setup, how do you like the offset sights? Is this LMT setup for a run and gun type of application?

The LMT was originally set up to be my "One" precision rifle when I decided my Garand wasnt it when I started getting back in to shooting back around 2011.

Somewhere back in these pages its pictured with a PSR stock and S&B 5-25.

It never seemed to give me the accuracy I wanted and it was heavy. I learned to love bolt rifles.

I decided to "detune" both ARs and make them what they should be.

The 1x8 came off my CQB now that gun wears a TA33.

The MWS went back to Sopmod and wears the 1x8.

The S&B will go on a in build bolt.

An AR for 0-600.

An AR for 0-800

Bolt guns for 0-1000

Garands, M1A, 03s for smiles.

The offset KACs are great. I rarely use them. I went with offset thinking if my scope ever did go down in time of need they are there without me having to take out tools to remove the scope. They do point nicely with a quick roll of the rifle if you have them deployed and ready.

Top rail KACs go on the guns with QR mounts.

I went thru the same thing after I got my MWS. I did however find the accuracy I was looking for with my LaRue OBR. But still use my AIAW or TRG 22 when I want the best accuracy.

Ok, before I do anything stupid I thought I would ask here. SH has cost me untold amount of money but the saying goes, there is no moving van that will follow my hearse.
I found a waiting list for the LM&T MARS which I can add my name to. Delivery is September. Is there any down side to the PMAG GEN M3?

I'm in the same situation, as you. But everything I've read, and heard. Is that any pmag is good. But, once again just what I've read, and heard.

That's what comes with complete rifles. Look to Proven Arms for multi discount. I prefer KAC and use that at the range but the house gun has an M3 LR/SR in it.

my older non windowed P mags work, but don't drop free, new windowed SR work fine and do drop free-
Avoid the mk118 SR25 pMags as they might not drop free.

I have not seen proven arms before, but they appear to have a lot of good pistol and rifle mags for nice prices. A 10% discount on the first order, too. Now would be a good time to stock up on some 308 pmags while they are still available. Who knows how much longer that will be.

Any idea what the barrel situation is? Have a barrel on order for December Delivery from V1.

I am seeing Titan Defense saying they got them in and are even posting some to Gunbroker.

I know they said they stopped giving delivery estimates but has anyone gotten a 6,5CM barrel from them recently?

I have no clue either. Ordered a 20” 6.5cm barrel early 2020 through V1 with a estimate of November 2020. I’ve got no updates. Sounds like I might be a month ahead of you so will update here when I hear anything.

I know for a fact that the JP High-Pressure Bolt works, however you need to purchase the small diameter firing pin as well.
Thanks for info. Thought I was going to have to wait for bolt. But Vahalla Tactical got some instock. Purchased mine yesterday. So now I just need to figure out buffer and spring out. Not to sure what to get.

I highly recommend the JP silent capture buffer spring (1 piece buffer/spring combo), I use the heavy for suppressed use, its awesome!

Did you have to cut a piece of the spacer to make scs fit. Or, just the scs works w/out spacer.

yes if you run anything but the rifle length tube, I swapped all my LMTs out the Magpul PRS Gen 3 stocks with rifle length buffers 1 for the stock and 2 so I didnt have to cut the spacer down. I did have to cut it for one in the past and it wasnt bad.

Thanks for info. Looks like that's the route I will take. My first Lmt mws, and I went with lmt's dmr stock.

Does anyone run a jp scs that comes with the extra weight spring? I've been thinking of getting one for my mws that I run pretty much always suppressed. 🤙

i use the heavy version for the ar10 pictured, I haven’t swapped springs out to a different one but have had no issues running 16-20” suppressed 100% of the time

Got my 20" 260 barrel in yesterday. Came with a suprise, instead of 9 twist. Came with 8 twist. Pretty excited. Almost completes my build.
That's great, and I'm glad the guys at LMT finally caught on that the .260 should come with an 8 twist!

Got mine a couple of years back and it's hampered by the 9 twist. Limits me to 130 gr loads or poor BCs with heavier bullets. It works real well with 130 gr Berger AR Hybrids and Hornady 130 gr ELDs, although my .260 bolt gun (23" - 8 twist) still outshoots it by a long way.

Yea was suprised like I said. The webpage where I purchased the barrel had 9 twist. I didn't want to spend outrages prices, or wait a year for a 6.5 creed barrel. So I'm happy. Also was going to look at those 130 bergers, myself. Due to the tought I was getting 9 twist. But now looking at 139 scenars, or something a little heavier.

Well I broke down and bought the jp scs h3 with multi springs, instead of the Arma spec version. Seems as though the Arma spec does the same for less. But with jp you can change it up if you'd like and the quality seems a little higher.

V1 has 13.5 and 16" LW SS barrels in, just yesterday. I snagged a 16" LW SS for my next LMT project. I managed to snag a barrel and Mlok MWS upper from another place and have the lower and bcg on order. I am going to have it cut to 14" for a lighter weight set up. I was torn on this and a 14.5 SR-25 but when it is all said and done I save over 1k doing the LMT instead and I already have a few SR's. Wanted to give a heads up if anyone is waiting on a barrel.

What, where is V1 ?

I just got shipping status on my 6.5CM 20” barrel from V1. Ordered it middle of the year 2020. Things appear to me moving along.

Sounds like things are coming from LMT finally.

hopefully our orders get filled soon.

I have a rifle as well ordered from V1 that was placed in mid February 2020.
