lol I am not even factoring in my suppressors. If my math is right, assuming an AT does truly weigh 8.3 lbs naked, I will be at 11.5 lbs before a barrel and suppressor.
Right now it’s a 3D printed prototype. It works well enough but ultimately I’d like it to be aluminum. The design I have in CAD also has the ability to bolt on a weight to get it to 1#. This design bolts through the buttplate, but I’m unsure if going to a pic mount will be better as I don’t know if the atx and asr are the same as the ax.
That being said, I really like that it has a large flat surface area in addition to retaining the “hook”. I also made it sit lower than the AI factory plastic bag rider so you don’t need such a tall rear bag.
Maybe a dumb question but is the finish on the MK13 MOD7 barrel bead blast or just bare metal?

The DE/ PB guys tend to place a whole lot higher. I have heard the Elite Sand aficionados do shoot really tight groups at the dirt though. So you gotta give that to them…

How did you get your hands on the chassis in FDE, with thumbhole stock? That's like a winged unicorn.

If you go back a page, @trob_205 talked about what he is doing in his attempt to bring his AX down in weight and I assume that is your goal too. No one ask for a stripped down weight if their intent is to make it heavy.

Yep, I remember that thread. No doubt AIs can have barrels from other manufacturers... not exactly the question I posed. Defender’s barrel is marked AI... meaning it was spun by WinTac. MH uses their own marking.This thread I linked probably has a lot of info in it that would be a good read.

Took my 17 year old daughter out to try out the Elite Sand AXSA. Put the ES 308 back on this one and did some 100 yard shooting. Indoor underground range.

The AXSR is being painted at the moment, went in to visit the Australian AI distributor today Delta Tactical to suss out the new AICS AXSR chassis, man they are so clean and refined.
They are delivered factory painted by AI, but they also do in house cerakoting.
We got a black AXSR 300WM & 300PRC barrel, it’ll come back with a camouflage pattern.
Sad to the see the AI grip out for a Ergo? I guess it’s nice to have options but I still like the AI feel in my hand. Not sure why it gets a bad review from folks.
