someone needs to put the i shoot 6.5 creed on this
I really don't have a dog in this fight since I own and shoot both 308 and 6.5CM precision rifles, but I will LAUGH at you when your 308 puts it's dick in the dirt between 1100-1300 yards and I ring the steel at 1500 yards with the 6.5CM.

Who said anything about 308?

but since we are on the topic, I never saw a flatline 198 solid drop out of the sky at 1100

I’ll keep a eye out for it.

Interesting as a lot of people shoot Grandpa 308 at a mile plus.

Screw that noise
I’m old school!

Gotta agree with this as I have 3 260 Rems myself... I guess I could try shooting a 6.5CM though, I'd just want to file off the barrel stamp 6.5CM, then file off the 6.5CM headstamp and lie to everyone what caliber it is... But I think I'd still feel gay inside so Ill just stick with the 260's :ROFLMAO:

Precisely why I dropped .308 and moved to the 7.6 Creedmoor. Now I can make distance claims along with all the cool kids and not be old or gay.

How many people realistically shoot to or passed 1,200 yards? And even less in a firefight.

Past 1,000 yards is all the rage, but for social purposes, it isn’t the realm of the regular Joe’s.

A 308 will get done what most people are capable of.

Best thing you can do to a .308 is neck it down to 7mm, and put a 162 Hornady or 168 Berger in it.

He decided it was a great idea to raise the dozer blade during transport so he could see under it. Unfortunately, he completely forgot about the hydraulic cylinder being 15’ taller than the top of the blade. He took out every telephone line along a state highway across nearly two full counties before someone finally called him in.
15 feet taller does not make sense, a D11 is just over 15 feet in height, and the ROPS should be the tallest substantial point. Raising the blade did not cause anything, he was flat out over height. If the blade or tops of cylinders did not catch the wires, the mufflers were coming off or the roll over protection was going to.

I just remembered it was a huge f’in bulldozer and the highest point was the hydraulic ram because that was what caught all the wires. Might have been a John Deere or something else for all I know about heavy equipment. I just found an image of a bulldozer of comparable size on Google to clarify how big the thing was before writing out the story. 🤷🏻‍♂️
