Choppers lifting off the embassy in Stan

So, are there any employees of the State Department that actually SHOULD keep their jobs.... AND, are there any positions IN the State Department that are actually viable to begin with?

Sorry if the propaganda post or the jarhead comment offended.

Ranger buddy was there with Charlie Wilson's crew, then again, now his former co-worker is sec def. and that worked well.

Sarcasm and disgust is all I have left for the way things are going, obviously that wasn't the least bit clear from my post.

No good deed and all....

"Getting dusty in here" is a colloquial phrase for an emotional moment.

I did not think Fig's statement was intended as snark.

I am curious about the numbers. Is it plausible that we had 24,000 to 60,000 Afghans (plus family) working for us? I get that’s spread over 20 years, etc but this just seems high to me. I must be missing something.

I was also shocked to hear how many aircraft were left and why in the fuck have these not been bombed? You think Joe is waiting until after the redline to destroy the aircraft? We gonna buy them back as cover for the ransoms (his second involvement in paying Islamists for our people)? I cannot see us leaving 200 Blackhawks and 40 planes there. Is this media bullshit are did we really actually give these fuckers a air force?

The only thing left of this pathetic, demented fool, is his feeble attempts at reading what he is told, and I have serious doubts about his ability to even understand that.

40 of these planes are now in Uzbekistan and the rest are or will be inoperable in days to come turning into some of most expensive 'gate guards' , Afgahans could barely keep the much simpler Russian aircraft going .

''Current and former officials say that while they are concerned about the Taliban having access to the helicopters, the aircraft require frequent maintenance and many are complicated to fly without extensive training.''
"Ironically, the fact that our equipment breaks down so often is a life-saver here," one official said.

The funny thing is last of the gear war just delivered to Afghanistan. So much for the 17 intelligence agencies' intel on Aghanistan.

The paint was barely dry on this gear

Well that didn't take long. Two large explosions heard at the airport. Multiple dead.
At least the US intelligence agencies got the warning out this time.

We funneled thousands of people into kill boxes for days and didn’t see see this coming? Shit, they could have killed hundreds with a couple RPKs and an RPG or two. Would have cost them two people and about $200 in weapons and ammo. Fucking ridiculous.

Wonder if they’ll out a parameter around the airport now?

With this administration, more likely that they will just pull out sooner.

I believe this goes beyond being a burning dumpster fire of shit show on parade. I don’t believe there’s a precedent for the sheer incompetence in action here that’s now resulted in the loss of more life.

For 18 months, the US didn’t have a combat casualty until we go to abandon the country in the most full retard way imaginable. Biden just straight up Leroooy Jenkins’ed his way into history.

Foreign media is alight with reports of a series of blasts at the Airport. Taliban spokes person released a statement letting the people of Kabul know to not be worried. They are controlled blasts by the American Military destroying the last of their equipment and stockpiles. Guess we are in the final hours now.

Translate:
"Several explosions were heard in Kabul after evening, which were carried out by US forces inside Kabul airport to destroy their supplies. Kabulis are not worried."

Those would be expendable items, not included in the price. That would be like including the cost of 5.56 ammo for every M4 we gave them.

I am sure Super Tucano’s are not cheap, but 22 million? Seems a bit steep for a prop plane to me. Uncle Sam gets ripped off all the time and passes it off to the tax payer, shits getting old.

Thanks Mr. President for the extra weapons you left behind...we will save this for the next invasion...fucking retard.
Please don't insult mentally retarded by association with this. The handlers are responsible for letting a demented patient pretend to run a country.

CENTCOM Commander Gen. Kenneth McKenzie said the Taliban were "helpful and useful when we closed down operations."

"They established a firm perimeter outside of the airfield to prevent people from coming on the airfield during our departure," McKenzie said of the Taliban Monday. "They did not have direct knowledge of our time of departure, we chose to keep that information very restricted. But they were actually very helpful and useful to us as we closed down operations."

President Biden: "... but bottom line.... 90% of the American's in Afghanistan who wanted to leave were able to leave!"

So we left behind 10% of the American's who wanted to get out of Afghanistan.
He can church it up how he likes, but bottom line... THAT is not a success.

You left behind Afghans some of which might hold US passport, but folks had all the time in the world to GTFO since May, but no they had to go take holidays, school trips, visit friends and family in Afghanistan.

Some more sob stories to obsess about,

I see it differently. Who would have so much love for their family and be brave and loyal enough to go see them one last time or be caretakers before the pullout AND trust that the first ones to leave at night without warning would not be the US? That seems admirable to me.

And the Group and Team guys who came together and ran the Pineapple Express? What kind of loyalty and sense of justice is that, that they would risk their lives for others they don’t know?

But everyone has their own views on life, love and loyalty.

Some more sob stories to obsess about,

Mr. Br. I remain unconvinced with the heart of your argument that if they were left behind they got what they deserved.

You are mad that some of these newly minted citizens were visiting their homeland? I need to introduce you to some Irish descendants I know, three generations out that still visit some castle that bears their family name in Ireland. I likewise had a 2nd generation Vietnamese friend that recently traveled back to visit distant relatives in Vietnam. They are welcome to do so.

I am not pleading for some sappy hearted shit. They were citizens. They were left behind.

Moreover, you have no more idea than I do if all those left behind are indeed new citizens, old citizens or merely passport holders. The concept is no man left behind. Not 10% left behind. Not those that made poor choices.

No more argument can be made that will justify the hasty and disorganized rout that our dear president committed us to. The result is an unforgivable sin.

Being the resident asshole here do i really have to explain to you that you are being played like a fiddle !?

A plug on a 20year, 300mio USD per day project was pulled, and the whole military-industrial-congressional-media complex is upset like it or not 270mio$/per day of that never left mainland US except maybe for a detour to the Caymans and greased many palms in the process. So sob stories galore.
About women's rights, evacuating Americans, evacuating afghans, evacuating Christian Afghans, fuck we just shot up the crowd after the explosion and killed some 70 folks in drone strikes, skip that that is not news worthy , a video of a refrigerator with some background noise is. Afghan lives don't matter, we have been killing them for 20years, how many sob stories have you been hearing? zero, except when they serve a narrative. So prepare to listen to more sob stories.

Another one for you, if you really want, there are thousands of such .

''In the village of Bibi Maru, I watched a woman called Orifa kneel at the graves of her husband, Gul Ahmed, a carpet weaver, and seven other members of her family, including six children, and two children who were killed next door.

An American F-16 aircraft had come out of a clear blue sky and dropped an Mk82 500-pound bomb on Orifa’s mud, stone and straw house. Orifa was away at the time. When she returned, she gathered the body parts.

Months later, a group of Americans came from Kabul and gave her an envelope with 15 notes: a total of $15. “Two dollars for each of my family killed,” she said.''

You had Americans left in Serbia, Somalia, Iraq,Libya. Syria warzones ......... add country X no one gave a fuck .

These Afghans some of whom might or might not hold US passports will get out mostly without any harm and many of the folks you just evacuated will be back in Afghanistan in less than a year, Taliban or no Taliban. That is the way things go ,folks travel back home even to what we consider warzones.

Just rejoice that Trump was not in office when this rout happened as it would be a similar debacle, the same bureaucrats and military brass would be running the show, based on the same flawed intelligence. Looking at the upset in the MICMC he would have been eaten alive. While you would have to think of many excuses to make, why its was the greatest ever..... you know its true!!.

Rejoice, the handlers running Biden just handed you a mayor win in upcoming elections, that is if you can get past those fancy Dominion voting machines. Maybe you should seriously think about inviting the Taliban to monitor US elections. Maybe they still have some of the finger paint you left there ,it might make cheating a bit harder. :devilish:

''Goat fuck Air'' is still in Kabul so they can hitch a ride once Taliban reopens the Airport.

Shouldnt Biden be charged for ITAR violations?

Imagine what those 2 trillions could have done for American domestic agenda.
Could have been invested in the American infrastructure creating hundreds of thousands of blue collar jobs ?
Could have been invested in the health care system ?
Could have been invested in education so that it doesn’t cost 500,000 to get a STEM degree?
Could have been invested in ressources for homelessness and drug addictions?
Could have been invested in bringing back the American manufacturing and technology?
Could have been used the repay the horrible debt that the next generation will have to deal with ?
How about we didn't spend the fucking money on any of that bullshit and instead gave everyone who paid taxes a giant fucking refund?

How about that? Who do you think knows better what to do with cash?

Stuff is property of Afghan Goverment is it not? It just the government that changed.Call it enhanced snap elections instead of dominion voting machines , back room deals with local leaders ensured smooth transition. So...... :devilish:

But still all the ''toys'' left behind no one there will even bother to use

I think the only time the Afghan people are a cohesive people is when they are under threat of "The Invader".

For a moment in time, for as long as it takes, they forget their tribal shit until the invader is repelled.

than....

They go back to being tribal and killing each other.

I actually respect part of that somewhat.

The Talibans only concern is that within the borders of Astan.

ISIS Koursan wants to be part of the Syrian ISIS goal of a Levant caliphate.

The goals of the two differ.

Taliban is inclined to allow the US to shamefully retreat and look forward to maintaining their leadership of Astan when they go back to killing each other.....why interfere with your enemy when they are leaving.

Koursan wants to start the first stage of the next fight to build the caliphate.

I think the Taliban figured "Whats one attack? Might as weel salt the enemies wound."

Taliban allowed the attack realizing correctly it was going to be somewhat limited and the US would not respond.

We had no casualties for 18 months because Taliban knew the date we were leaving and Taliban had seen Sulimani turned into luncheon meat.

Trumps goals were the same as Bidens....in fact Trump was leaving faster. MIC was pissed he was ruining good business.

Difference was Trump told them kill our guys there will be a response. This message was the response to one of them killing one of our guys and they knew he meant it with the power of a MOAB.

For 18 months no casualties while at the same time ANA with US support continued to kill Taliban.

Taliban didnt care. They knew the problem was one of time and just waiting for the US to leave was all they had to do.

Sadly we made them wait too long. We should have left in 2002.

For 18 months you had a deal signed in Doha, Taliban leave you alone, you leave Taliban alone and troops leave Afghanistan , as simple as that .Hence no casualties. Indeed we should have withdrawn years ago. Trump did the right thing and MICMC is still pissed . 300mioS/per day pays for as many hookers and drugs Virgina , the homeland of MICMC can muster. Try as he might even Hunter Biden couldn't snort or fuck away,300mio for at least couple of decades.

ANA was going to collapse one way or another once the support and air power US and Nato troops provided was taken away. That was also part of the deal in Doha, so unless ANA magically found will to fight on its own, because holding the line so that foreigners could evacuate Kabul is really something Afghans could rally behind , evacuation would be much the same no matter the president presiding over the operation GTFO.
