Actually have almost seen this exact replica. Had to swim at city pool a few months earlier in the year while some work was being done at the university pool. Guy was a walking...rather waddling contradiction. About 4+ and rode a scooter to the pool on one of the most dangerous roads in Tampa.....with no shirt, no helmet, barefoot.....and a freaking face mask. Dude has been committing suicide with a fork for 50 years.....but let's be safe out there! He'd walk around in 3' of water and 'coffee talk' with the lifeguards for half an hour then waddle out to that poor scooter

Washer and dryer went down during the holidays.
Got tired of buying second hand ones and bought her a new set.
Didn't hear the end of that for quite a while.
That was about 26 or so years ago.
I got my wife a new vacuum for our anniversary. You boys need to grow a set.
My wife actually asked for a new microwave for Christmas. I insisted we just replace the microwave, but she insisted it be a Christmas gift. I caught grief from female family members that year, but my wife was happy as a tick on a coon dog. 
Bought a dishwasher ,was gonna be a surprise, for Christmas ( she'd been hand washing for a while because, might as well,old one wouldn't clean them). Welt,they had to order it," no problemo " i said ,call me when it gets here. When it can in, they called HER,said "your dishwasher is here,when do you want us to come install it?" ,I wasn't there when they called, but when I did get home, she was about the happiest I'd ever seen her,...almost. That was two years ago, she still tells me ,that's best present she ever had and I've given her some really nice and expensive jewelry before then. Women...they be hard to figure out sometimes
Years ago Mom bought Dad a washer and dryer for Christmas. Dad bought Mom a chainsaw.
