Absolutely, not just in Wyoming anywhere there is oil and gas. They mainly just use the BTU Content for how pay is determined. When it gets to a natural gas plant, or a refinery, the crack, or separate each individual gas because each of them might have a different value. In natural gas the strip off the methane, but there is usually heavier compounds that are attached such as butane and propane, those are too heavy to put in with natural gas. But then there is also the ethanes, that is what is used make plastic or other products. It is lighter than methane, so all of these come out of the ground like a sausage and trained in the oil like CO2 in soda pop. Usually at the Wells site to heat up the oil as soon as it comes out of the ground to separate the heavier oil‘s from the gases and water. For years and even still true in some places they would only gather the oil and flare off all of the lighter gases as there was no economically viable transportation or collection system for the natural gases. Now that energy demand is increasing exponential, these gases now have more value coupled along with strict omission laws and regulations. There are new companies that are springing up that build small on-site electrical generators to utilize these gases to create electricity instead of just flaring them off because of no transportation infrastructure. I am not an investment guy, but I would say this is going to be a huge trend and should be watched closely if you are into energy investments LOL.
