Re: Kimber 8400 Tactical for beginner shooter? Keep in mind there is about zero after market support and kimbers customer service is known to be spotty at best. 2200$ opens up a lot of options. If it were my 2200 there is no way in hell id sink it into a kimber 8400.

Re: Correct Target Sizes At Diffrent Ranges I use 1 and 2 out to 300. Its always windy where I shoot so sometimes even a 2 moa target is a challenge past 100 yds. I thought about getting a bigger target for the really windy days like 3-4 moa.

Re: 10/22 or 17hmr Most 17hmr ammo is too destructive for small game if you plan on eating it, I shot a squirrel at 100yds and hit him in the shoulder with a v-max and it prety much exploded. Head shots are a must. Ammo is expensive compared to 22lr. Its definitely an easier round to shoot...
