I don't shoot a 308 at anything less than 100-yards so the 5.5X is not really needed and the 32X is nice for me at 1000-yards. The zero stop is nice. If you are only target shooting where you have time and no distractions to count your clicks and rotations then you may not need it. If not, then...
No, the sunk in base is for 10-round mags and the base is not interchangeable with regular capacity mags. Your option for flush is 12 round and extended is 14 round for the 229 in 40. I would look at Mec-Gar mags as they are the manufacturer of the good Sig mags. Sig Sauer P228/229 Magazines |...
Yep, that is the exact problem. I think I want the AW but am wondering if the AE will be good enough. OR will I kick myself after getting the AE and eventually get the AW. I did see the AWs in the exchange and may go with one if I can figure out which I want. Thanks
Missed those but the drive to Denver to look at them would be more than I want to do and I cannot yet justify the money for the AW. It looks like Eurooptic is the closest to me but they are still a good distance away.
I do like the ability of having 10-rounds without the mag hanging way out of the rifle. Does the added rigidity translate to better accuracy or ruggedness? Or is it one of those neat things that was done because I could be done. Perhaps I just need to get somewhere that has both and look at...
I am looking at getting an AI AW or AE and wanted to know what the actual performance differences were. I understand the magazine differences. I also understand that the AW receiver is permanently bonded to the chassis. From prior posts I have heard that the AE is the better value but if...
With your location I would check out ADCO Firearms and see if they can thread your barrel and then add a threaded extension. It was pretty economical when I had it done a few years back.
I have a GAP-10 and it is not cycling reliably the bolt will not stay in place if I lift the carrier. So I suspect that the gas rings are worn. So, what gas rings do the GAP-10 rifles use? My rifle is a POF pattern rifle. So, I tried the DPMS 308 rings and they seem to be too thick. I can...
