Still no luck. Cannot get it to feed but I don’t think it’s necessarily due to the chassis. Idk I’m at my wits end.

Thanks I’ll take a look at it. MDT is sending a new mag latch and I ordered another mag from accurate to try that.

After some mag modification the rounds are “close” to feeding properly but still not consistent. I’ll try and get some pics of the feed ramp. I polished it out hoping that would help but no such luck. I might be dumping the chassis soon if I can’t figure it out.

They are 75gr seared long not sure off memory but it does the same with 53gr vmax and 55gr fmj. The hit the barrel just under the chamber hole.

Your mag is definitely sitting higher than mine is. I wonder what the difference is. Maybe i Need to check the torque on the bolts.

So the bolt will pick up the round but doesn’t lift it out of the mag into the chamber. I’d post a video but not sure how

I have watched it and it does seem to be that the feed lips are to long I would modify it but it’s a loner mag from my brother. It’s a poly mdt mag I’m using.

I recently installed a oryx chassis on a savage 10 223 and I’m now unable to get the rounds to feed from the mag. I am using the mdt 223 mags. Anyone have these issues? when I go to chamber the round it doesn’t pop up and out of the mag, and most of the time when I pull the bolt back the...

Well I started load development but can’t get the oryx chassis to feed for some reason so unfortunately I didn’t get around to actually shooting. MDT is working with me on a solution.

My lGS has 20lbs of h4350 today but out of Varget

Yeah I’ve got a bunch of vmax for 223 but I was wanting a long range load may have to settle for what I can load for now.

Still haven’t got around to this yet been busy. Hopefully over the thanksgiving break I’ll get some stuff going... finding projectiles is impossible right now.

Man a 26” gun with a can in a deer blind isn’t worth a shit. I’ll build a couple more long barreled guns for target guns.
