    MDT oryx not feeding savage

Still no luck. Cannot get it to feed but I don’t think it’s necessarily due to the chassis. Idk I’m at my wits end.

Thanks I’ll take a look at it. MDT is sending a new mag latch and I ordered another mag from accurate to try that.

    MDT oryx not feeding savage

After some mag modification the rounds are “close” to feeding properly but still not consistent. I’ll try and get some pics of the feed ramp. I polished it out hoping that would help but no such luck. I might be dumping the chassis soon if I can’t figure it out.

So the bolt will pick up the round but doesn’t lift it out of the mag into the chamber. I’d post a video but not sure how

    MDT oryx not feeding savage

I have watched it and it does seem to be that the feed lips are to long I would modify it but it’s a loner mag from my brother. It’s a poly mdt mag I’m using.

    MDT oryx not feeding savage

I recently installed a oryx chassis on a savage 10 223 and I’m now unable to get the rounds to feed from the mag. I am using the mdt 223 mags. Anyone have these issues? when I go to chamber the round it doesn’t pop up and out of the mag, and most of the time when I pull the bolt back the...

Well I started load development but can’t get the oryx chassis to feed for some reason so unfortunately I didn’t get around to actually shooting. MDT is working with me on a solution.

Accuracy change after Barrel cut down

Man a 26” gun with a can in a deer blind isn’t worth a shit. I’ll build a couple more long barreled guns for target guns.

Accuracy change after Barrel cut down

I shot some today from my pet load and lost about 130fps which I was expecting. I’m seeing 2750 with a 75 gr eldm out of a 223. I’m going to try xbr8208 and pp2000mr hoping for more velocity. I’m currently using Varget.

Accuracy change after Barrel cut down

that’s what I figured. Thanks. a 16” suppressed gun vs 24/26 is well worth the new load data! now I need some projectiles...

Accuracy change after Barrel cut down

I recently had 2 barrels cut and threaded from 26”-16 and 24-16 one a 223 one a 308. Both of these guns are factory savage barrels that consistently shot .75-1moa. I’m now seeing HUGE changes in accuracy. I’m pretty sure it’s just due to harmonics change/ bullet stabilization. I have several...
