I recently sold all my rifles that used this mount type - so I no longer need it. Easily the best bipod I've ever used. In excellent shape. Rubber feet included. Adjustable from 6.5" to 9.5" Legs can be locked in 5 positions, based on terrain. This fits a picatinny rail - and not a stud - but...
I'm moving away from precision handloading, and no longer even have the rifles that I purchased this gage to support! If you are looking for the next level of control for precision rounds, then a concentricity gage is definitely a tool worthy of a spot on your bench. $80 and I'll ship it to...
I keep thinking...."should I upgrade to the V3?". Given that the V1 has done everything I've ever asked it to, and never even once missed a beat....I can't justify it. I actually have a honkin' big brake on my AI, and the V1 still works no problem.
Droid--be thankful you have a Menards as an option. We don't in CO. My father in law is always telling me about his latest outrageously perfect purchase he made at Menards (he lives in Illinois). It pisses me off! They usually seem to come in ~30-40% cheaper on stuff.
I basically do what Clark does above...but haven't done that chamfer or epoxy of the seating stem? Clark...what are you doing specifically? What issue are you trying to address? Doing the polishing step on the LCD is time well spent...no more 'stickiness', and a very smooth motion. I set my...
Kevin is one of the folks around here I pretty much listen to without hesitation. The guy knows his stuff. I've PM'd him with a question and he wrote back an extremely thorough and thoughtful reply. Good People.
They are a hoot, aren't they? One of these days I'm just going to break down and get the damn Lilja barrel. No big hurry though...the stock barrel is still working quite well.
Gary--Just when I thought I was resolved, you threw a wrench in it! I'm taking a look now. It is a little more spendy, but fortunately there isn't much required. It looks like the assembly is tongue and groove like the laminate. Can you glue it? Nail it? I do like the look. There is a Lumber...
I think I'm going to give it a go. If I botch it, an alternate solution isn't too painful or expensive. I talked to the floor guy today at Lowes, and he had no reservations on gluing it down, given the size. he thought it would be a good surface as well. Greg--thanks for the great info on...
Some great feedback on this guys...thanks. Milo--I would plan on doing some type of trim. White pine is a good cheap choice. I may even be able to use this as an excuse to get a router, being a 'home improvement' project and all  Bogey--I agree the surface will seldom get wet, but the...
