    Re: M1a scout vs. std m1a Haven't had any problems in mine. I've got about 1000 rounds through it. Fed it all kinds of ammo. Black Hills, Federal, South African surplus, Port surplus etc. I remember reading some of the initial Springfield SOCOMs hiccuping but they must've figured it out.

    Re: ACOG vs Leupold 1.5-5 MR/T I'm currently using a TA33-9 on my M1A in a Troy MCS. Never noticed eye relief to be much of a concern. I was suspect of the chevron reticle but after using it I'm sold. Very easy to use. Same with the bullet drop compensator is pretty much dead on.

    Re: Mil Surplus Ammo for FN FAL???? I've used the Port. It was a good ammo for the price. I think I paid .50 a round a few months ago. Cycled fine in my M1A. It was a little dirty though. Won't matter in your FAL.
