    Have you looked at belts like the one linked below? It's not a padded belt, and you won't use MOLLE for it. You wear the velcro belt on your pants/in the belt loops.. The cobra belt just slaps right on outside of the inner belt and it's really thin compared to the padded belts like HSGI Sure...

    Steel can cause extreme pain when you're hit with it.. that's why they sell the pads with them. I'd take ceramic over steel any day.
