Going with a .300WM
Re: Going with a .300WM You won't be sorry with a 5R in 300WM. The 1/10 twist helps get that 220SMK down past 1000. I have also had good success with 190SMk as well. I added the RAD brake from hide member HateCA and it does really well reducing the recoil. It also fits the barrel profile well.- hmtb0407

Re: The better rifle? If your heart is stuck on 338LM I agree with the others and save up and get a TRG 42. That gun was built to shoot that round. Have you completely ruled out all other cartridges? 338LM seems a little over kill to me for 95% or north american hunting. That is just my 2...- hmtb0407
