    I am getting the same from a 7rem mag, 73 gr retumbo, 180 berger, 3100 gps and 5.8-6 mils to 1000. No signs of pressure at all, though I worked up from 68.

    That is awesome, 3400 rounds down the tube, i would call it the most efficient match caliber there is with that type of life. I am running a 7rm that I worked up to safe but hot loads for that are right at that but I do not expect to see 1200 thru it. Running 5.8 to 6 mils to 1000.

    PPU is mostly junk. Federal Gold Medal Match in 168 or 175 is the go to ammo to confirm potential accuracy, spend the extra 20 bucks it is currently bringing over where it was two years ago. You spend 20 bucks in gas getting to the range and back.

    Check all your scope/rings/bases screws and make sure the action screws are torqued properly. Consider having the bc stock bedded or skim bedded.

    Can't imagine they would, it's purpose is extended long range, but you can have a used one modified if you so choose. I love the .338 win as a dangerous game caliber, but capacity is king with heavy, high bc projectiles. .338 lapua is perfect in that role.
