Any one know who made this?

From what I've found, so far, the actions were sold to various makers. Leads vary. Possible British shooting Team guns to American Bench rest makers. An FN made bench gun is also possible. Still searching. I found one lead on a barreled action bearing a close serial number to this one that was...

Any one know who made this?

Http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/viewItem.aspx?Item=443761382. I've been looking for a 22-250 and something a little different. I figure this is a 60's vintage bench gun. Single shot FN action. Maybe a Pryor? The P, on the grip cap could be the maker or the...

    Any Swiss K-31 fans?

Just a heads up. Classic Arms got a new lot of K31 rifles in. Picking mine up, tomorrow. I'll post how it looks.

Meanwhile, back at the local old gun store..........

Yes, it was Steeles. Go get her! If I can help, let me know. Last night, I went in a completely different direction and bought an old Benchrest gun. It's an FN Deluxe Single shot, in 22-250 with a BEAUTIFUL wood stock, from Gunbroker. From what I could research, it's from the 60's or 70's. The...

Meanwhile, back at the local old gun store..........

I went back and looked at it, again. He wants $425. I think I'm going to put in the "project time" on an old German bolt gun I got from my Grandfather. I did, however, pick up a couple more K31s. Classic Arms just got a new bunch in, and he says they're the best he's seen in a while.

    I shouldn't read this thread.....

I really like this gun. Just picked up a third, for a build. Thank you, Steve, for the idea. Started working on a design for a custom chassis. Aluminum frame with walnut covers.

    Any Swiss K-31 fans?

Heads up! There is a " new unissued" K31 on gunbroker, for those looking for a REALLY nice one. Be prepared to pay $975.00, but she is pretty.

    I shouldn't read this thread.....

Aim surplus and gunbroker, so far, have them. I'm trying to remember a site that had pages of parts, but I,m a little fuzzy. Been researching for days, now, for 5 different guns, and I'm suffering from information overload. I'd check Grafs, too. It would be an interesting, and neat build. I...

Hey Steve: I saw some bare barreled actions if you want to do a "build". Think it was Guns international? Can't be sure as I looked at 100 different sites, doing research. You better be ready for some "looks", though. Please don't paint a K31 green camo.:-). I think Grafs had boxer brass for...

Meanwhile, back at the local old gun store..........

Great site for information! Thanks Dan. Guess the choice is simple. A 7-57,with non matching numbers, or a Swiss made rifle with a history of accuracy, for the same price? I'm going to need more ammo. Maybe I should get the .41 cal rim fire repeater, they had, for over the fireplace, too.

Thanks Dan. I think I'll take another look at the Swiss. I picked up a K31 last week and I'm waiting on a scope base. This would be a second, before I've shot the first. I'll see what the bore looks like.

Thank you for that die information. I was looking through my Sinclair catalog last night. Redding it is.

I had this really recognizable tiger striped gun stolen. Can you watch for it?

Sorry to hear. I agree with the thought of notifying the local pawn shops, especially those in the nearest big city. Probably show up with a Krylon black paint job. Hope ya get the SOBs. We had a string of breakin's, around here, a while ago. The police finally got them. A couple was posing as...

Meanwhile, back at the local old gun store..........

Way in the back of the stack, I found a couple guns that interested me. One is a Venezualan short Mauser in 7X57. Marked as made by FN Herstal, Belgium. Looks like a handy little gun. I had something like it, years ago, but sold it. I think that one was Chilean. That action was interesting...
