    The Fix from Q

Took the Fix to Thunder Valley Precision for open range day a couple weeks back and it way outperformed my expectations. Hitting steel at a thousand became boring so I tried my luck at a mile. I took 15 shots or so between rain showers and came very close but never hit. Not bad for 10 pound...

    The Fix from Q

No plastic threads, I used square nuts on the stainless bolts through the stock mechanism.

    The Fix from Q

If you're concerned about strength, the way I did it replaces a thin piece of rubber with hard plastic supported along most of it's length by the stock mechanism. If there is enough interest I will take mine back apart and make a step by step with better pictures. I should have done that in the...

    The Fix from Q

Paint job turned out sharp! I'll be curious how the limbsaver holds up sans the added support from the stock adjustment mechanism. The plastic is fairly rigid, but flashbacks of rifles falling butt end first left me wanting to err on the side of more cross sectional area. Then again maybe the...

The thumb pad doesn't block the trigger guard? I was going to buy one but thought there'd be interference issues

    The Fix from Q

Yes sir, completely flush. Mine shipped new from euro optic and the barrel was all rashed up but oh well, the joys of buying online.

    The Fix from Q

Just that the height has to be set to the middle or below because of the added width of the limbsaver. No big deal at all, I run it in the center normally anyways.

    The Fix from Q

Worked out great! Sorry I have loctite on the fasteners but I will post all that I took on my phone the day I did it. Pretty simple, just had to open up the bottom square channel for the square nut. Let me know if there's anything specific I can take a photo of.

    The Fix from Q

After swapping the stock pad for the limbsaver and swapping my scope/mount combo I was able to shoot my first sub .5" group with my Bartlein Tooley 6.5 barrel. The only thing holding the rifle back was that thin little pad that made it difficult to build up a position. Couldn't be happier with...

    The Fix from Q

Buttpad itself just needs to be pulled/pushed out of the holder, mine did tear at the molded keepers but I wasn't going back. To remove the pad holder assembly you just adjust the pad full up and remove the screw and full down, and remove the screw.
