    Rem700 AAC-SD loads?

I know what you mean for the stock. I just changed mine out and noticed a huge difference in comfort and group consistency.

    Gunsmithing inexpensive stock checkering?

Seal with Poly? I have a new stock in the mail and I am considering doing the same thing.

    Lets talk Ladder testing

I'm thinking I need to concentrate on 42gr and up. This was with IMR4895, 168gr AMAX, CCI 200, and Norma brass. Rem700AACSD @ 200 yards.

    Lets talk Ladder testing

I shot a ladder at 200 by myself, using my spotter scope...... After about 6 or 7 shots landing closely to each other I had a few holes which were marked with ? because I wasn't smart and I didn't have a spotter.

Rifle Scopes Zeroing a scope - does anyone use the following method?

I can't believe I left out the part of "dry zeroing" with the bolt removed..... I will drink the rest of my coffee cold as punishment :(

Rifle Scopes Zeroing a scope - does anyone use the following method?

Very small target, perhaps a spray painted dot, or a bright orange sticker or something. Place target on large piece of paper, I use the backside of law enforcement targets (the poster sized ones) ERECT (yes I had to say it) your target at the range at which you wish to 0 your glass...

The Great .308 Win. War Horse. Can it keep up?

I'm sure down the road I will get a 243. I've ran my friends rifle and quite like it. 308 however is what got me into distance shooting, I love it and wouldn't have it any other way.

MOA Picatinny base is too long (eye relief issue)

See above post.Lol It's already done. Over the winter I am thinking of taking it all apart and getting it painted OD green to match the stock (Ghillie Green by Hogue). As for the pretty camo pattern....not likely unless I get adventurous and wrap it in a laundry bag for the snake skin sort of look.

What is the optimal Zero range for precision rifle?

I'm more comfortable now shooting longer, and I haven't found myself shooting less than 200 in quite a while. I was in a bit of a competition on the base and we worked our way back to 600 metres (656yards) and I had fun. I didn't place overly high but I still shot better than 5 other guys. My...

What is the optimal Zero range for precision rifle?

I've heard of guys basing their decision on the calibre of round that they are shooting. I had a guy tell me that he zeroes his 308 to 300 yards.

    first reload's 308 win

I did one load test with 168 Amax and 44gr of Varget with great success, and on another test 43.4gr of Varget. It's slightly confusing for this new reloader. I've quickly learned that my $30 hornady digital scale isn't as accurate so I think I will just take more time and use only my slide...

MOA Picatinny base is too long (eye relief issue)

That's what I did. It turned out pretty good. It's all setup and ready to go. It's raining here so shooting it will have to wait until the weekend. It's different when you are talking about a rifle that you paid for versus a taxpayer funded rifle from work.
