    I just removed mine the other day. Take your skins off as outlined in the owners manual, the monopod threads into the rear underside of the chassis.

    Received my A1 buttpad and just finished modifying my gen2 skins to allow clearance of the hook. Very easy modification to do, appreciate the guys from dta chiming in and the above posters info to know it will work. Excited to get out and try the pad!

    Can an A1 buttpad be purchased for a gen2 rifle or does it only fit on the newer A1 model?

    No problem, didn't know you had seen it. Cory Trapp posted he was working on a dual mount a while back, not sure if they were ever finished or at what price point. Maybe another option, good luck!

    Are you wanting to wear plates or just carry some mags and gear? I have a pig and really like it but you may be right on the size being too small.

    You are right they are big. As far as quality goes hsgi makes good stuff but IMO this is a pretty disappointing plate carrier. There are much better plate carriers out there but as far as larger sizes I don't have much experience there.

    So what is the story with Vekronix Terrapin??

    I am no optics guru but it seems that the cost is what would prohibit this. Look at the price of say a spotter 60 or even the leupold, now combing that with a laser RF that is as good as a terrapin. While I agree it would be cool, it would be crazy expensive with such a specific market.

    I agree with Matt, a terrapin allignment mount would be awesome! The spotter mount does look good!
