22-250 Barrel Chop. Length vs noise/muzzle flip?

I reached out to him and he confirmed 18 is the way to go having tried everything shorter and longer. Also watched a lot of his awesome vids. It's a done deal. Thank you for steering me his way! Now to find a place here in Central Ohio to do the work. Closest reputable place I've found has a 4...

That's good to know. Any significant difference in noise/ recoil when suppressed?

22-250 Barrel Chop. Length vs noise/muzzle flip?

That's pretty much my mindset, but 3-4db can be a pretty noticeable difference. Hoping someone who has actually ran one can give some input. I'm basically looking for affirmation that 18" is the way to go🤣 Hell, maybe even 16.

22-250 Barrel Chop. Length vs noise/muzzle flip?

I'm aware of the velocity loss. At 18" I would still be getting ~+200fps over a 24" .223.

22-250 Barrel Chop. Length vs noise/muzzle flip?

So, I've got a 700VS in 22-250 that's been sitting in my safe for over a decade. It was my first centerfire that I got when I was 17 (2006). I never shot it as much as I anticipated due to not having many places to groundhog hunt. Has maybe 200 rounds through it. Anyways, I've decided to bring...

Re: Please, for the love of God, stop... I just came up with the perfect solution! From now on everyone should have to send a rough draft of their post to a QPE (qualified post editor) such as bpnelson, and they will edit the post if needed. Then it will be sent back to the OP for revisions...

    Affordable and Quality 22 Revolver?

Re: Affordable and Quality 22 Revolver? The double action trigger sucks but for the price my Taurus 94 has been a great little revolver. I took this vid last week. 50 yards got kind of boring after a while so I moved to 100 and took a vid for my buddy

Re: Please, for the love of God, stop... Pisses me off too... I think threads like this one are a good thing. Some of us need a good place to vent about the little things that make us want to scream They're also educational for some people

    .22-250 max load question.

So, today I loaded some rounds hotter than I normally do. I haven't been reloading very long and don't have much experience. My reg load for my .22-250 is 36.5 grains of varget shooting 50 grain NBT's about 3740fps. I wanted to test some hotter loads out and made some using 37 grains and...
