Rifle Scopes Magnification for long distance shooting.

I agree with montanamarine and glb. I think the 3.5x-15x is all I need. Target is a 36" X 36" and 18" X 24", I believe this will replace my 4-16X42 Sightron and I will use my Sightron for 300 yds on my 22 lr. Appreciate the Info guys.

Rifle Scopes Magnification for long distance shooting.

Well I grew up shooting, pop took me with him since I was six, learned to shoot with a BB gun killed my first deer with a 30-06 he had borrowed when I was eight. I shot it the first time when trying to zero and was knocked on my butt from recoil, but he convince that if I wanted to hunt that...

Rifle Scopes Magnification for long distance shooting.

My brother is giving me a 300 winchester mag Sendero and was thinking about spending money on a high end scope such as a Night Force for the first time. I've taken my 30-06 hunting rifle to 1200 yds with just a regular $500 Sightron and noticed that I could not use 16x which is max for the...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Need a good machete!!

Funny enough I have the Ontario sawback, but did not know that was what it was called. I think I am leaning more towards the condor woodsman and what the locals will be using. Did my jungle training way back then when we were involved in Vietnam, and I think this combination will be enough...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Need a good machete!!

Would like your recommendations for a good machete. Would like it with good steel that maintains it's cutting edge and is easy to sharpen as well. Price is not a problem.

Which way to go...10/22 or CZ bolt?

As a teaching rifle in my opinion it is best to teach with a bolt action rifle, children lack self control like us adults when we are having fun and blow everything up in sight.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Buck knife 110 hunters folder

I had one of these on my side for 21 years when I was in the army and served me well. I gave mine to my nephew when he joined the marines as good luck and it served him well in Afghanistan too. I missed mine so I went to walmart and lo and behold they had one for $27.99, every one else seems...

    RRA-Predator or DPMS Varminter

I have no experience with DPMS, but I own the RRA predator pursuit with the 20" barrel. It is insanely accurate with factory ammo. It shoots better than the guaranteed 3/4 moa specified by the manufacturer. The 2 stage trigger is pretty awesome. I believe that in order to beat this rifle in...
