I like my front sights fat and my back sight width even fatter. I like tritium up front but can go without it on a rear, or at most a single dot. I think ameriglo got it right with their I-dot, simple but effective. I still really like the big dot but could not get past my own precision...
Nailed it right here, the front is super fast and with a wide rear notch there is still plenty of precision. I was ringing the 1/2 scale IPSC steel at 75 yards the other day and loved it. Thats about my max accuracy with a pistol and to be able to do it with a system conducive for speed is a...
So after a couple months of use how is the whole chop working out? I keep looking at in and eyeballing my bandsaw but not sure if a 1/2" (correct me if this is not right) is worth the effort and modifications.
I really like the devcon. I can leave it spikey enough it will draw blood but it is easy enough to take it down a little bit at a time to get to where you want. I have a couple thousand through a 17 and a 22 and have not had any cracking or peeling at all. I have only done it with devcon 10110...
I am rolling with a G22 now and am thinking of grabbing another 22 and chopping the frame. I have tried the stippling and never felt satisfied, I have gone with the Devcon and textured as desired, bigger sea sponge texture on the front strap and fine styrofoam texture on the side so it does not...
What would expected accuracy be with a typical chrome lined barrel? I have no expectation of getting or even needing 1moa accuracy for a patrol rifle but at the same time I do like to get as much accuracy as possible.
Any thoughts on current production Voodoo barrels? With a background geared more towards precision shooting and just getting my feet wet in AR stuff again I cringe at the thought of a chrome lined barrel giving great accuracy. When I see the higher end name brand barrels with chrome lining...
Instant potato makes a great clotting agent for severe bleeding. Before all the good stuff came out on the market I kept a ziplock bag of it in the shop and in the first aid kit, only used it once on a nasty cut and it worked great with an easy wound irrigation after.
Sorry no boobs but damn good. You’re an 19 year old kid. You’re critically wounded , and dying in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley , 11-14-1965, LZ X-ray, Vietnam . Your infantry unit is outnumbered 8 - 1, and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your own Infantry...
Anybody running one? I like the collapsible feature with some reviews touting is as feeling as solid as a fixed stock. I tried a search for the hide and cannot find anything. If it helps the build will be a 16" medium tube as a general purpose rifle. Also does anyone know fellow members or...
Two favorites, any tenderloin or backstrap with garlic oil rubbed in heavy black pepper and cooked to a medium rare. Number two and the one I just ate is oatmeal pancakes, one cup Red's steel cut oats one cup water and cook as usual. Then add one cup water and one cup of Krustez pancake mix...
In general, successful inlay work is the most incredible skill to witness. I have tried it myself on two occasions and between the eye strain and lack of extremely detailed motor skills it was quite humbling.
