Re: Surgeon .308 with S&B 5-25 range report It seems like I remember writing up the build sheet for that rifle. I'm glad I put that magic dust in it before it left the shop! Looks like it worked.
Re: GAP10/Southwest 175 SMK MV It depends on how many rounds are through it. If it's brand new then you can expect it to gain some velocity over the next couple hundred rounds.
Re: K&M Basic LRPR Course - 31-1 Mar/Apr- FL Panhandle I'm going to have to look into the advanced class. That's a good chance to get training from the best!
Re: Effects of rain on shooting? Bullets create a pressure cloud after they leave the muzzle so "the bullet MUST at least encounter one or two raindrops" is not an accurate statement. On the second day of the Precision Rifle Series kickoff, it poured pretty much all day.... A TON of equipment...
Re: What barrel lengh for a tactical comp gun? I can't think of a time when a 26 inch barrel has been a hindrance to me at a match. I run my 243 at 26 inches, and my creedmoor at 24 with a brake. Which makes it's about 26. Anything between 23-28 seems to be the norm from what I've seen.
Re: What barrel lengh for a tactical comp gun? I'll take that free velocity every day. I can't remember ever seeing a barrel under 22 inches win a match... Seriously. But I'm new at this for sure
