Picked up a G10 a few months ago; didn't know about the bubble level incident...oops. I do appreciate that feature though. FYI; I am a casual shooter & this is my first alloy chassis, but I thought the machining looked great for the price point...have been pretty happy with it so far overall...
Finished the build for my 9 year old daughter....we should have some good fun with it! have an older Leupold 4-14x on it, with some high Steiner rings. A few observations out of the box... -action was pretty rough, cycling has helped a bit -hand guard is a tad off center, pointing upwards...
glad to see other positive reviews/experience with the Optika6. I liked my 3-18 FFP even more after shooting with it; looking forward to another range trip. By the way, anyone know what Meopta series of sunshades fits the Optika6?
UBR gen 2 on my 20 incher...can't believe how solid the thing locks up. Another great thing about it is the integreated buffer tube that is A5 length. Allows the use of a carbine buffer in it.
I was also trying to compare FOV @ 18X (between the optika6 3-18 and PST GEN2 5-25)...in the field it was hard to tell. Comparing a picture I took, the PST GEN2 looks like it may have slightly more FOV.
overall, i have to say...I am more than happy with the 3-18 for the 6.5 creedmoor AR10 i just built. before leaving for the day, fired a few shots at the 400 and 600 yard steel. My Streelok app setup....was dead on at 400, but a little high at 600 yards.
Was at the range earlier with the 3-18 and PST Gen 2 (5-25). I did my best to compare the image quality and could not say which looked better. Didn't want to leave it at that...so I bugged a neighbor who was shooting with a Razor LH, and he was also not able to pick out of the two also (but...
attached are 3X and 18X...unfortunately you need those fat bars and circle @ 3X. I have a 5-25 PST G2 that i will bring to the range with me on Monday. will do my best to try and compare....thinking of setting them both at ~ 18X and see what differences there are.
I was wrong...only cross hairs are really illuminated (3-18). The rest of the reticle has a faint red backlight glow to it. Attached is the illumination set on level 5 of 6, and @ 12X. I have 25 MIL of adjustment; without touching the zero stop yet. I assume the default position of the zero...
For sure...i am glad the horse shoe & thick side bars are there for use @ 3X. If memory serves me correct everything lights up other than the side bars and horseshoe. I will try to snap a picture of it later when i am home tonight. FYI; when i was jacking with it this morning; the...
Ilya, Tried to link some images in my post above, I guess no worky. Uploaded them just now, hope they show up...the house is within 100 yards away @ 12X
Just got my 3-18x50 last night in the mail. don't know about anyone else's....but mine had a few odd white smudges on it. Other than that, pretty stoked about the value of this optic; plan to take it to the range on monday. few things to point out... -There is little chance the...
Ahahah....King, my delivery (3-18x50 mrad) was delayed due to southeast Texas weather issues late last week. Today UPS says there is another delay due to incorrect sorting issues. with any luck, plan to hit the range on Monday...bringing a 5-25x50 Viper PST Gen 2 for comparison.
