Weird whitetail liver growth

I opened up a whitetail last night and found some nasty business growing on his liver. Can you help identify what it is?
Not sure if I should eat any of this animal or turn it into dog food.
At first glance it looks like ticks, but then upon closer inspection it looks like some sort or nasty

I wouldnt eat it or feed it to dogs unless someone who knows tells you its safe.

Would consider turning it in for testing.

Prolly can get another tag since that one is buggered.

Just showed it to a bunch surgeons.

Also, several folk who know some things think it is likely a weird cancer.

Almost looks like a crazy exaggeration of rugae in the GI system.
Like a crazy stage 4 stomach cancer.

Was the deer’s stomach normal?

So fascinating to my pea brain.

That is gnarly. I work in a very active group of surgical oncologists. And I’ve never seen a human organ with cancer look that bad

My wife says that it looks like cancer, nothing she's ever seen before. Says the organ doesn't even look like a liver, or any organ she's seen before. She only looked at it for a few seconds though.

Dang sure looks like a liver behind it.

Just thinking he maybe opened a stomach up too…..

Green bile all over it. Looks like that or gut-shot to hell….

And could be something all funky still, as rth1800 said.

All of the intestines looked normal.
Only other thing I noticed that was the lungs looked like they had large dark spots on them.. appeared to be blood clots deep in the tissue. Not sure if it was from breathing issues post gun shot or he was tripled vaxxed.

That is definitively not cancer. Cancers don’t grow organized structures like that. I’m a surgeon. Agree it looks like stomach got opened inadvertently.
