Ingenuity Powder System

Yes, I have two of the RCBS powder droppers and they like to choke on the big kernels and you have to force it to cut one of them or jiggle it back-and-forth every couple of throws which can cause the powder to settle and lead to overcharges if you are close to the target weight. This is the thing that brand Cole the maker of the Prometheus warns you not to do and I have always guessed that he made some modifications to the RCBS one that comes on the Prometheus so that it is better radiused to deal with large stick powders - but that is just a guess. I have likewise assumed that Adam McDonald tweaked the one on the V3 to avoid this problem.

I’m getting close to going that route also. But I figure I’m going to be stupid and expect it to actually start shipping by August. If not I’m definitely going to.
I feel like Charlie Brown kicking the football at this point. Here is my prediction, no shipping by end of July and then a post here from someone who emailed Paul who says end of August (which is how website could be interpreted now - as end of either month) and then nothing in August and the website two weeks into September changes to end of October/November. I hope I’m wrong.

I know this wait sucks but I can’t see that being a good idea. That thing looks slow, overpriced and just not that great. I’d buy a Lee or some other gross dropper and go ahead and get the ip trickler if I was waiting.

I’ll be surprised if the thrower drops this year
That’s what I did a few months back with the Lee. Wish I had my old V3 but it’s better than anything out there (other than this with v3) just a bit of a PIA pulling a lever and optimizing for different powders. I really want the full system though.

So far guys are saying it’s fast and cost $350 without the scale same price as waiting for the IP dropper

From one of my posts, "With 38.5 gr of RL-15, average dispensing time is 8.4 seconds". I don't know if this is fast or slow, or how it compares to other precise & fast automatic powder dispensers (except for the MatchMaster, which is slow), but it's ready for me after I seat a bullet, so it's fast enough and 'faster' would have no benefit.

And you get a free shot glass suitable for Whiskey.

I take that. The shot glass and the time
