Just some 01’ dated 118LR today, I’ll move into hand loads with it shortly. Averaging 2648fps, SD of 11 and grouping at sub 1/2 MOA. Pretty good for old ammo.

Snagged a unicorn piece for my M40 project. Found an E676xxxxx prefix marked action for the heartbeat of the build. I now have almost everything I need minus an issued A3 or A5 take off stock. Wanting to go for all the details on this one. If anyone has a lead on one please let me know!

Just added a Chuck Mawhinney M40 to the safe.
With the A3 style rings on it. I get more adjustment to set the eye relief for myself. GAP built.

Edit to add. You have no idea the amount of failed papers I had in english class because the ink smeared from my hand. And her solution “just use your right hand” to which I replied with “why dont you use your left hand”. I was suspended for 3 days for “disrespecting” the teacher.

I built a right handed gun because I wanted a 6 digit s/n action but I do have in the works to do a true left handed version at some point in time.

Out of 7 kids in my family only me and my 2nd oldest sister are left handed. I'm #5 in the line up of kids.
In my dads family between his brothers and sisters (they had 11 kids and only my dad and one sister are right handed. Yes the other 9 are all left handed!)
So back to my sister... when she started school there was no kindergarten... you went right to 1st grade back then. Think it was 1960 for her. Anyways.... she would come home crying... and my mom for a few days couldn't get it out of her as to what was wrong. So finally she tells my mom that the teacher was forcing her to write right handed and my sister told my mom that she just can't do it. My mom says to my sister after school one day and again crying.... "GET IN THE CAR!" Yep mom drove back to the school with my sister in tow.... and bitched the teacher out and told the teacher...she's left handed and it is what it is.... she comes home crying one more time and you won't want to see my back her again! You got it!
That's my mom... bitched slapped the teacher on the spot!

Frank, same thing happened to me! I am a lot younger than your sister being born in 78, so I went into Kindergarten around 84 I guess. My kindergarten teacher was extremely old and had been a teacher for her whole life. Up until kindergarten I was left handed, but thanks to her I am kinda ambidextrous-ish. For everything except throwing something I can use either hand. I am right eye dominant, but shoot a handgun left handed and with my left eye while keeping my right eye open (I have no idea how I do it, just always have). I can shoot at a fairly high level and have been through several very well known courses, the instructors usually leave me alone after the initial assessment. My transition from long gun to hand gun is interesting / unconventional going from the right side with the long gun to the left with the handgun.

I'm with ya! Pretty much ambidextrous as well. I shoot pistol right handed but left eye dominant and I shoot rifle left handed. My right arm is my strong arm. I eat left handed, brush my teeth left handed but throw a ball or bat right handed and turn wrenches right handed or left handed.
Were the odd ducks... I get it!
