I understand debate for the sake of debate, but y'all get to making important, unimportant, issues. After 55 years of study of the Bible, reading numerous commentaries, taking classes on religious issues at university, I came to the non astounding conclusion, that the Gosple is really simple, and need little depating. When they asked Jesus, "What is the greatest commandment?" He answered, "To love the Lord thy God with all your heart, mind, and spirit." Then he added, "And like unto that is to love thy neighbor as you would have him lone you." Thats what counts, the rest is of minimal importance.
Consider:
We're all standing in front of the great white throne and nest up is Barumba, a poor black African who never heard the name Jesus, so the Big Guy (God) says lets review your life Barumba. "Ah, theres Mrs Kalumbi about to lose her house. You loaned her some money at 0 interest until she could get on her feet. Ah ha, theres Mr.Onboobie. He broke his leg and you took care of his flock until he healed. Ah, there Auni, he stole your tools and you didnt hurt him, you prayed for him. Barumba, you did well, come up here and meet Jesus and sit by my side fo a minute.
Then Levi Schoepenheimer comes up next. Levi is a multi billionaire, linked to 3 of the tribes of Israel, says hes converted and goes to church every week. so Levi comes upto the throne and The Big Guy say, "Lets review you life. Ah, theres Mrs Smith who was losing her home and asked for a 30 day extension til her check came in.. You refused and took her home, she went on the street. Then there was your neighbor Sam ho broke his leg and could have used some help. You sadi to youself, he's a Samaritan, I dont have to help him. And there's Bubba who stole $5 because he was starving and you had him arrested and put in jail."
Where is the chosen one going? Think about it. Spend more time on whats important.
