I know this isn't shooting related gear, but I am going to buy shooting related stuff with the money when I sell some of them. I have a lot more gloves and mitts than are in the photo.

I have a large collection of pro quality baseball gloves and mitts, many of which were pro issued and have names of the players they were issued to embroidered on them. They include Wilson A2000 and A2K, Rawlings Heart of the Hide and Pro Preferred, Louisville Pro Flare, Nike, Kazuma and Katz.

These are pro level leather, not for little leaguers. Prices range from $125 to $600, please send a PM and let me know what you are looking for and I will let you know what I have.

Not interested in buying but I gotta know. What in the hell you doing with so many? I’m assuming a collector, but that’s a lot of gloves.

I have about 300 gloves in total. I used to coach. I started repairing gloves for kids, then buying them gloves, cleats and bats and one thing led to another. Some of the kids I coached made it to D1 schools and the pros, while others played in the RCBL, NABA or Shenandoah Valley League. When I was in VA I would repair any glove for a kid playing ball for free just to keep them on the field. They send me gloves to repair or relace and sometimes send a spare glove they have. I have also gotten to know other D1 or pro players through the kids I coached and have gotten gloves from them. The University Nevada Reno filmed a mini-series last year about a young guy wanting to make it into pro ball. They heard about my collection and contacted me. They filmed scenes at the Reno Aces ball park, a sporting goods store and several studio locations. Every glove you see in that series was borrowed from my collection.

These are some of the more valuable gloves I have. The Beanie Babies were given to me by the kids and parents of one of the teams I coached. I had a red, white and blue glove that year during most of the practices so they rounded up a bunch of red, white and blue Beanie Babies and gave them to me at the end of the season. Also several autographed baseballs from teams I coached and the ball on the center shelf is the one I threw out as the first pitch at a D-Backs games.

Super cool ... and very unique. I suspect there are far better places to sell such a collection. Baseball memorabilia has a good following. Best of luck, and thanks for sharing that story.

Very cool. And thanks for being generous to kids. I have a side hobby with sports photography that allows me the opportunity to also give back to kids involved in Sports as well and I try and help them any chance I get. I’ve given them pictures for free, their senior banners or anything else when I can.

Had a middle school aged female basketball player tell me once she wasn’t pretty enough for a certain close up photograph I took of her and she’d rather do something else. She is one of the most caring and pleasant young ladies you’d ever meet. I couldn’t let it go..... She thought I had deleted it, but I took that picture, spent time on it fixing every little detail with it. Had her a 16x24 canvas print made and gave it to her for Christmas. Her father said no one had ever done anything like that for her and she was so happy to have that print.

If I’m able to make a kid smile or help them out through photography, that to me is what it’s all about. And again, good for you with how you helped them as well because sometimes, and in no fault of their own, that’s the only help they ever receive is from a generous person like yourself.

    Catchers gloves? Right hand.
Yes I have catcher's mitts. I have 3 Rawlings pro issue 2 of which have the American flag label, 3 Wilson pro issue, 2 Wilson commercial and 1 Katz. How big is your son? How old is he? How hard do the pitchers he will be catching throw? They range from $200 to $400. If you want one and let me talk to your son on the phone I will tune it to his play style before shipping. I will also PM close up photos of any mitt you are interested in.

The mitt on the far right is not for sale. That's the mitt I caught my son all through his baseball career.

This is an actual warning from Wilson that came on a new A2K glove. It never failed to amaze me how many people destroy good leather by soaking it in oil, steaming it or microwaving it. The only way to properly break in a glove is to play with it. When it starts to look dry use only enough conditioner to bring it back, something with lanolin in it like Rawlings Glovolium.

I'd open that cabinet just to smell the leather everyday. Man awesome work you have done for the kids and sport. GLWS!!!
