    Re: Can a R700 LA readily accept a .308? I shoot a M24 clone rifle and it is long action shooting 308 rounds. No mods necessary HOWEVER, you need to make sure the 308's are pushed all the way back so when the bolt is back it will catch the rim of the cartridge when you push it forward...
