    I just wanted to know if 2800 FPS is too fast for my 308 win. I have a stock 700P (26" barrel). I did some shooting today the temperature was about 45 degrees (F). It was pretty windy (15 to 20 MPH). My elevation is right around 5800 (SW COLORADO). I'm loading the 175 gr Berger VLD (hunting)...

    Re: Want ballistics app for iphone You can copy or modify the cartridge. I would copy it then "Modify" if needed. My version (bulletflight) lets me modify cartridges. Just select the cartridge, hit "modify", make your changes, then "save".

    Re: Want ballistics app for iphone I have bulletflight. It has Brian Litz(sp) ballistic data in it but doesn't show it. It has a library of BC for just about every bullet in there. Very useful app. I bought the other app (higher cost i think). I cant remember how much it was.

    Re: Didn't Blow Up I agree with cobra. I started at 155's, then 168's, and now at 175's (bergers) Also the A-max bullets are really east to get good groups with if your only target shooting.

    Re: Is there a way to calculate Muzzle Velocity? I've been doing mine with targets at a distance. I'll shoot a target at 500yards and enter a velocity in my ballistic calculator (bullet flight IPOD TOUCH) until it matches and then verify at another distance.
