    AI Ax frustrating range day

Brought my AI Ax 308 out to the range today. The gun is pretty new to me. This was my second time shooting it. Sighted the scope in last time out. First 10 shots were dead center bull’s-eye in less than a 1 inch group. I’m quite happy with that. I switched magazines and moved to a...

Need a new prs barreled action

I’ve heard that as well, however did the supposed refinements make any difference? Of course he’s going to say that, as he started a competing company. Has anyone run them side-by-side and thought one was better than the other ?

Need a new prs barreled action

Who cares what the owner is like. Are you shooting bullets out of the owners ass? Mark LaRue at Larue tactical is an example where people don’t like him, however, he builds amazing rifles . As such, at the end of the day if the product is great, as well as the service, I don’t care about...

OK, let's play spend my money. What would you spec for that price? Sorry for my ignorance, who makes the Nuke Action?

Custom Rifle vs. Assembling chassis rifle that takes prefits

I don't want to spend more than $3,000 for the rifle alone. I want the best action and barrel I can get. Frankly, I can get an MPA (stock rifle) with the Curtis Axiom and competition chassis for less than $3,000. with the Curtis vector, I am can get it just over $3,000. I am thinking that...

Custom Rifle vs. Assembling chassis rifle that takes prefits

With my motorcycles, my other passion, I stopped with all the poserific add ons or "farkles", as we called them. I only like what truly works, however, if a smith can make a substantially better rifle, using the chassis as a basis I am all ears. I just don't understand what dillo dust they...

Custom Rifle vs. Assembling chassis rifle that takes prefits

I am looking for a good quality rifle that shoots 223 Wylde. I have spent a ton of time researching. If I go the chassis route with an action like the Curtis Vector or similar that takes prefits, what am I gaining by going through a smith. Other than costing well over a thousand more for the...

Complete 223 Wylde Rifle: Ashbury Precision or Masterpiece Arms

I am looking at two rifles. Both fall at about the same price point. The features and accuracy guarantees are similar. Each has some pluses and minuses. For APO, I am looking at their Snipershide version in 223 Wylde. For MPA, I am looking that their 223 Wylde Version. Both are about...

    Good 5.56 bolt gun

Codie, you seem to have some insight. I really do like the Tikka rifles, however, I don't understand why these manufacturers will not give their blessing. There appears to be no manufactured BA rifles of good quality that spec being able to shoot 5.56. The Tikka seems the way to go, however...

    Good 5.56 bolt gun

I emailed Tikka’s customer support and they advised against 5.56 in their rifles. Does anyone else shoot 5.56 in other bolt action rifle‘s with regularity without issue ?
