Rifle Scopes Need advice: Budget scope comparison

Re: Need advice: Budget scope comparison The Mueller TAC II is a good budget scope, I've been using one across a few different .308's for several years. Add $80 to that and you can get a Vortex Viper 6.5-20X50, 30mm side focus, it's a plain Fine Plex Reticle. Midway has a dealer special...

    VZ 24 questions

Re: VZ 24 questions I would leave it in the white. Strip, steam and clean the furniture and oil it. Go shooting. This is a Yugo re-arsenaled VZ, M24/52C. I'm seeing about 3moa with surplus 8mm.

Re: Where to get a Garand? The CMP Garands are a great starting point, it's a great way to start off. If you get serious about shooting matches and want to win then you well be upgrading the rifle. You could start with a Garand that is already match ready. The Garand Guy makes some pretty...

Re: No sniper rifle but my Swiss K31 shoots .5 moa Nice job on the furniture and the bedding. I have installed two of the Rocksoild mounts and you are correct about the need of carbide tooling. That is some hard steel. I use the SP clamp on mount on my personal K31. You have a great group...

    AR-10 Pistol Grip Problem

Re: AR-10 Pistol Grip Problem Hex head screws are easier to install, no doubt, but if it comes loose in the field a flat head screw driver is much easier to find than a long hex driver. I know, they never come loose.

Recent reliability info on DPMS 308Bs?

Re: Recent reliability info on DPMS 308Bs? Nothing wrong with DPMS. IMHO most problems with all the .308 platform AR's is operator error. My personal preference is ArmaLite and Noveske but I would take a DPMS at the right price.
